New Layout - Texas Forever

Happy day my scrappy friends!

I have not been able to scrap much as I've been purging and organizing my scrap room. I took some time out today to finish this cute little layout of Maddie in the Texas Bluebonnets when she was just 19 months old.

I played along with Paper Issues Alphabet Soup - 26 days of Alphabet inspired challenges.  Q is for Quote. I used two different stamped quotes: "Plant smiles, grow laughsm, harvest love," and "may you have enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human, and enough hope to make you happy."

For this layout I used a kit from Paper Wizard with paper from Simple Stories and Authentique, die-cuts from Paper Wiz, and stamps/alphabets from CTMH.

New Layout - Lovely Spring

Happy Weekend all!  What month are we in? I've not only lost track of days, but weeks and months at this point.

I completed this layout today of our COVID backyard time. When you're isolated together in Texas, what else is there to do but hang out in your backyard! That is now our daily routine, usually with a picnic snack and a glass/bottle of wine. We have birds, butterflies, lizards, bees, dragonflies, etc. that love to share our wonderful space. We often play imagination clouds and try to "see" things in the clouds. I wanted to scrap this right away to make sure these memories get documented.

I played along with CSI Case File No. 319:

To solve the case, I used thecolor scheme and used white background tih grey, pink, red and teal colors mixed in. I didn't stay completely true to the colors as there is some yellow and green mixed in on my page. For evidence, I used wonky dots (the epoxy puffy circles on the left), cutesy elements in my background pattern paper, animals (bees, turtles, butterflies, and birds), clouds (stickers and paper), flowers and leaves (in the paper), fruit, veggies and other food (in my photos), lots of stamping, enamel dots, a banner (title), and mixing cursive with print fonts (the hello sunshine sticker). For testimony I documented a weekly/daily routing of hanging out in our backyard now that COVID has required self isolation.

I also played along with Paper Issues Alphabet Soup - 26 Days of Alphabet inspired challenges. Today I used "L". L is for lovely, loves, laughing, lines, and leaves.

To complete this layout I used: a paper kit from EmbellishIt, paper from Echo Park and Bazzill, puffy stickers from AC, stickers from Echo Park, ink and Stamps from CTMH and PhotoPlay and misc. twine from my stash.

New Layout - iPad Time

Happy Rainy Sunday my scrappy friends!

I've been playing with the layout of my dear daughter and her i-pad at 16 months. She could barely communicate with words and sign language, but was a wiz on the i-pad. We didn't let her on it much, but she sure loved it.  Her favorite apps were Bubble Guppies and Endless Alphabet. I'm 100% positive that she learned her alphabet so young because of Endless Alphabet!

I played along with multiple challenges for this layout. First, I used a sketch from BYSS Facebook group. This was sketch #1 from #BYSSMotivateMeMay2020.

I also played along with CSI File No. 318

I used the colors in the scheme. For the evidence I used a pattern with illustrated objects (bees), animals (bees), camera (stamp), clock (in embossing paste with stencil), phone (ipad in the photos), polaroid frame, and texture paste. For the testimony I documented about something inanimate (ipad), I wrote directly on my background, and made a list of the apps she was using at that time.

I also played along with The Studio Challenges May Tic Tac Toe challenge. I used the first column: stitching (the banner at the top), texture paste (embossing paste of the clock with a stencil), and ephmera.

Finally, I played along with Paper Issues Alphabet Soup - 26 days of Alphabet inspired challenges #paperissuesabc This was letter "I"; I is for I-pad.

I used all sorts of extra stash. I used paper from Dear Lizzy and Cosmo Cricket as well as scraps from my stash. I used lots of ink and stamps from CTMH, chipboard from Fancy Pants, banner from Crate Paper, and misc. ribbon from my stash.

Thanks for visiting!

New Layout - Bare Necessities

Happy Memorial Day weekend!  Thank you to all of those who have served our country.

I spent the evening scrapping last night. This is a layout of ordering online, picking up groceries, and our "cleaning food" process that we started with the onslaught of Coronavirus. It was something that I wanted to make sure and document.

I played along with Paper Issues Alphabet Soup challenge - 26 days of alphabet inspired challenges. #paperissuesabc.  This page is letter "H". H stands for healthy, helpful husband! I'm really enjoying these alphabet challenges and almost staying caught up!

I used a page kit from Out on a Limb and added ink from CTMH and stickers from Coca Daisy. I hope you have a wonderful holiday!

Thanks for visiting!

New Layout - Easter Hunt

I'm scrapping up a storm this evening!

This is a layout from when DD was only 18 months old. How was she ever that small?

I played along with Paper Issues #StaySketchy - 30 days of sketches. This is sketch # 19. I rotated the sketch so it would work with my photos.

I used all MME products and CTMH stamps and inks. Be safe and scrappy!

New Layout - Forever Friends

Happy day to all!

This layout is of my bestest, oldest friends and I. I love these girls and we've been friends for 30+ years!

I played along with Paper Issues Alphabet Soup challenge - 26 days of Alphabet inspired challenges. This is for Day 6, "F". I scrapbooked my friends and used the title "Forever Friends". #PaperissuesABC

I used a laser cut from EZ Laser Designs, a journaling block from Recollections, stickers from Pink Paisley, and gems from The Paper Studio.

Happy weekend!

New Layout - Coloring Easter Eggs

I am sooooo ready for the weekend. This week has been rough, my mom and I tried to go on a bike-ride and she fell and crushed her wrist in multiple places. With CoVID it's been hard as I can't help her go into the hospital for her appointments or wait with her. Things are very different.

It took me days, but I finally finished this layout of DD when she was just 18 months old dying Easter eggs for the first time.

I am playing along with Paper Isssues - Alphabet Soup; 26 Days of Alphabet inspired challenges. This is what I created for letter "E"; E is for Easter Eggs.

I used a kit from Out on a Limb and added rub-ons from Crate Paper, layered stickers from MME, and chipboard bubble talk from October Afternoon.

New Layout - Easter

Hello my scrappy friends!

I have worked most of the day on this layout of really old Easter photos. I love working with really old photos when my DD at was so little.  This was Easter at Nana's house.

I played along with Paper Issues May challenge Polka Dot Party.  This layout uses polka dot paper at the top, the eggs are polka dot and I used a polka dot stamp set for the journaling at the top.

I used a kit from Paper Wizard and added stamps and ink from CTMH. I actually stayed pretty true to the design for the first time ever, but I did add a bunch more mini photos!

Get ready hump day!

Thanks for visiting.

New Layout - Spring is here

And yet another Monday comes and goes - where is the time going?

I stayed up super late to finish this layout tonight. It is of our baby birds in our back yard this spring, one very cool experience that came out of CoVID.

I played along with Paper Issues Alphabet Soup - 26 days of alphabet inspired challenges. This is for day "D". I used die-cuts to create my page.

I used a kit Out on a Limb and added a journaling block from Recollections, rub-on from DaisyDs, arrows from Eyelet Outlet, and ink, stamps, and sequins from CTMH.  I hope you enjoy!

Thanks for visiting!

New Layout - My New Ride

Happy Sunday! It was REALLY muddy and wet on the trail this morning, but we still ended up riding about 5-1/2 miles. Both Juan and Maddie were completely covered in mud, clear up to their helmets.
I spent the rest of the day scrapping.

This layout is very recent, part of our COVID journey and the story of both my daughter and I's new bikes. I am playing along with Paper Issues Alphabet Soup - 26 days of alphabet inspired challenges. This is my layout for letter "B". I used a bike, blue, banner and the words "beautiful" and "best of times". Such a fun challenge to play along with, come join in! #paperissuesabc

For this layout I used a kit from Paper Loft and added arrow stickers from Eyelet Outlet, sequins ink and stamps from CTMH, and title stickers from October Afternoon.

Enjoy your Sunday and thanks for visiting!

New Layout - Made with Love

Happy Sunday!

I love this completed layout about masks that my mother made for my family to protect us from Coronovirus. The first batch she made us were too big for me and too small for Juan and Maddie so she made us a 2nd batch! She's so amazing. Such a new experience to have to wear masks everytime we go out. We haven't been out much, so we haven't needed to use them too often, yet.

For this layout I played along with Paper Issues Alphabet Soup - 26 days of Alphabet Inspired challenges. This is day 3 "C". I created a page about Corornovirus and I used cardstock. #paperissuesabc

I used a kit from Out On a Limb Scrapbooking and used paper from Creative Imaginations and stamps/ink from CTMH. I used a lot of pen work and inking on the die cuts to help them pop.

I'm hoping the rain will go away today and we can go for a bike ride!

Enjoy your day.

New Layout - MVP

I finished another single to share!

This one is of Maddie as a 16 month old, chasing a soccer ball around our house. Juan definitely started her young with a love of soccer!

I played along with Paper Issues #StaySketchy - 30 days of sketches. I didn't finish them all, but I completed quite a few and there's a few days left to play along.  Here is sketch #22:

I used old paper from Cosmo Cricut, left over scraps from a soccer kit I used, stamps and ink from CTMH, star stickers from Jolee's, and misc. ribbon from my stash.

Thanks for visiting!

New Layout - Aquarium

Happy Rainy Saturday!

I'm so disappointed in the weather as I wanted to go on a LOOOOONNNGGGG bike ride today and that's not happening. So instead, I'm scrapping!

This is a really old layout from 2013 of my sweet daughter at the Aquarium. I love how excited she was to explore and see everything. For this layout I played along with Paper Issues Alphabet Soup - 26 days of alphabet inspired challenges. Yesterday was A!  I did a layout on "Aquarium" and used an "Ampersand"  Such a fun challenge.

I used a kit from simplystitchedscrapbooking.com, ink and stamps from CTMH, jounaling stickers from Coca Daisy, thickers from American Crafts, letter stickers from Merry Little Christmas Sticker Fundamentals, and metal letters from Pressed Petals.

Have a scrappy day!

New Layout - Baking Traditions

Happy Weekend!

We have an annual baking tradition at Christmas that started back when I was a little girl. I am so thrilled to share that tradition with my own little girl. This layout was from our day of baking sugar cookies with a sweet, adorable little one!

I played along with a couple of challenges. First I played along with CSI Case File No. 320. Here is the scene and the cold case clues:

I started with the colors in the scene: red, teal, white, brown and some other brighter colors. I copied the scene and created a page with a little girl baking. For clues I used older papers that match some of the colors in teh scene, older striped papers, metal accent (baking brads), older kitchen or food themed products (3x4 cards), jewels, and stickers from Photo Play. For design clues I created a banner from different papers, I used a collage of photos at the bottom right, I used bright colors with muted shades (white) for contrast, and I stacked elements of stickers and alphas with pop-dots! So fun!

Next I played along with Paper Issues May challenge Mother Knows Best. I created a page with not only my mom documenting my childhood tradition of making sugar cookies at Christmas, but of myself and my mom with my own daughter keeping that tradition alive!

I used materials from a Scrapbook Generations Photo Play kit, brads from eyelet outlet, stamps from CTMH and CocoDaisy, ink from CTMH, and misc. gems from my stash.

Have a wonderful weekend!

New Layout - Sweet Memories

Yep, me again! I have one more to post before the clock strikes midnight.

This layout is of DD in our backyard where Daddy grilling is a regular occurance. I wanted to use these typically snapshots of our daily life to document a few of the precious sayings this little 2 year old favored.

I played along with a couple of different challenges for this layout. First, it is Lasting memories #496 - 3 Things Week 1. You must include on your layout: Polka Dot/dotted patterned paper, flowers (can be a paper or an embellishment) and stickers.  I think mine are obvious but I used a couple of different polka dot patterns, paper layered flower, and numerous stickers that I popped off the page.

I also played along with Paper Issues May challenge - Monochromatic Fanatic; color Just Peachy. I used all peach with just a bit of white. I also used butterflies.

Finally, I played along with ScrapRoom Blog - May Throwback Sketch Challenge. Here is the sketch.

I used almost exclusively products from Teresa Collins, but I added a rub-on title from Scenic Route, puffy stickers for the water sprays from Me & My Big Ideas, and a misc. brad from my stash.

New Layout - Journal Notes

It's hump day! I'm ashamed to say that I'm actually growing to like some of the outcomes associated with COVID, like the extra hours I have in the evenings! Work is slowing down, which I have not been able to say in the last 20 years, and I'll admit it is quite refreshing. We took another bike ride today and I've already completed a page layout with the entire evening still ahead of me. I'm afraid I'm getting used to the slower pace and will have difficulty readjusting.

This layout is of DD and Hubby building our new bench. As the journaling reflects, this layout is not about the new bench, but about the relationship between the two and our daily family interactions. Maddie is a little curious helper and Daddy is great at letting her "help." These are the moments I don't want to forget!

I played along with Paper Issues #StaySketchy - 30 days of sketches. I'm not sure I'll get through all of them, but I'm not doing too bad! This is sketch #21:

I used product from Teresa Collins for everything except the journaling block is from CTMH.  Happy Wednesday!

New Layout - Soccer

One more down for the day!

This is yet another soccer layout from 2016.

I used a cute page kit from Crop-A-Latte and added pop dots, and ink and stamps from CTMH.

I will hopefully be posting again tomorrow! Have a wonderful evening!

New Layout - Birthday Girl

Great Afternoon to Everyone!

I just completed this layout of DD turning 5 way back in 2016. I used everything from scraps and old stash, so I'm super excited.

For the left side, I played along with Paper Issues #StaySketchy in their 30 days of sketches.  This is the sketch for day #24! I rotated to work with my photos.

For the right side, I played along with Sketch N Scrap #201 and rotated the sketch counter clockwise.  I also played along with Paper Issues May challenge - Piece of Cake.

For this layout I used paper from The Paper Studio and Cosmo Cricket, sequins from CTMH, number from Thickers, stickers from Echo Paper, rub-on from Memories Complete, glitter sticker words from KI Memories, and misc. washi tape from my stash.

Thanks for visiting! See you again shortly, I hope.

New Layout - Climbing Fun

Happy Rainy Day from Dallas!

I plan to spend the entire day scrapping, so hopefully I'll be posting a few more today.  This is a layout from old photos of DD after her wonderful Daddy built her a climbing wall for her birthday climbing party! I love the progression of photos, so this worked wonderful.

I played along with Southern Girls Challenge Blog - Anything Goes!

I used a kit from Out on a Limb scrapbooking and added stamps and ink from CTMH, a journaling block from MME, and washi tape from MME.

Thanks for visiting!

New Layout - Making Memories

Yep, it's me again with another soccer layout - surprised? This one is a layout of Maddie's Glitter Girl Soccer Team practice. They always have the best practices and I especially loved this one where they learned "Chopping"!

I played along with Paper Issues May Challenge - Take 5, use 5 of the items listed on your layout.  Here were the options.  I used White, black, stamping of the text and arrow, stars on the right page and ephemera on both sheets.

I also played along with Scrap With Stacy - May Scrappy Friends Reveal.  This month was a Tic Tac Toe challenge. I used the first row: Arrow, tag and circles.  There are arrows on the left and right as well as an arrow stamp on the right.  There are tages on the right page and circles on both - both as polka dots on the background and circle stickers under the arrows on both sheets.

I used a page kit from CTMH as well as ink and stamp sets from CTMH.

Happy Monday!

New Layout - All Star

Happy Monday from Texas, it's a beautiful day!

Yes, it is yet another soccer layout - number 129 probably.  :)  This one was from when Maddie was just 4 years old on team Bluebonnet. The top left photo string shows the most important thing about soccer when you are 4 years old..... running down the field holding your best friend's hand! They are running and laughing...... and then Coach Juan steps in and physically disconnects their hands.  Nothing like redirection, lol!  Also, I just realized the team we were playing was the Fireflies - Avery's team and her father was the coach. She is now on our Glitter Girls team, we didn't even know her back then - how funny.

For this layout I played along with More Than Words: May 2020 Main Challenge - Funny & Stripes. I hope the funny is obvious from my journaling and the story above. I used diagonal stripes on both pages. Such a fun challenge for the month.

I also played along with Paper Issues May Challenge - Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.  It is all girls, all the time in this challenge this month! Since according to Cyndi Lauper, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, show us your pages featuring girls, girly colors, having fun, etc. What's better than a whole team of girls playing soccer and being silly?

I used a kit from Love and Creations Layouts and arrows from Me & My Big Ideas.

Happy Monday yall!

New Layout - Just Keep Swimming

Another fun layout of Maddie's swimming lessons from a few years ago. She learned so much so quickly and I love that I was able to document.

I used a kit from Out on a Limb and ink from CTMH along with a shimmer brush and some journaling tags from my stash.

Have a happy Saturday!

New Layout - All Aboard

Happy Saturday! We went for a 3.5mile bike ride this morning; it was wonderful!  I also tried a new recipe, Keto chili and cheddar bisquits. It was quite delicious and my whole family loved it.

I finished a couple of layouts today.  This one is from our first Polar Express experience back in 2016. I used a sketch from Page Maps, below.

I also played along wtih Paper Issues May Mobile Issues challenge. This challenge is to scrap your love for all of your devices. Not really your thing, then how about a page about a bicycle, scooter or car. Basically, anything that can get from point A to point B.  I created a layout of our 1st trip on the Polar Express train back in 2016.

Finally, I used paper from coco daisy and BoBunny, a diecut from Paper Wizard, journaling spots and stickers from Coco Daisy, misc. ribbon from my stash, and a rub-on from Reminisce.

I hope you had a wonderful start to your weekend! Thanks for visiting!

New Layout - WSP BBQ

Happy Thursday! I'm so glad the weekend is almost here, but yet another week has flown by!

This layout is from a group BBQ we hosted at our house for my office back in 2016.

I played along with Southern Girls - April Anything Goes challenge.

I also played along with Paper Issues - May Let's Get Fussy challenge. This challenge is to get snippy and show off your fancy cutting skills. I used scissors to create frayed edges on the picnic table tissue paper along the center.

I used a page kit from GoToTreasureBox and added thickers from EK Success, ink from CTMH, background paper from Fancy Pants.

Happy Weekend and Mother's Day!

NSD New Layout - Bloom & Grow

My final layout for the NSD Blast Your Scrapbook Stash Weekend Warrior challenge.  This one is of my hubby and daughter in our favorite place to be - our backyard.

I played along with my final challenge - These Are My People, This is Where I Came FromThere are no stronger connections in our lives than our connections to home and family. This challenge is to create a layout or project celebrating your home and family with a photo of your family(related or created) or a place or that has always felt like home to you(it doesn't have to be your house, it can be your grandma's house, the street you grew up on, your hometown, etc.the "good times all together" stamp and the "family favorite" piece cut from a 4x6 card are from our sponsor Feed Your Craft.

I used CTMH Zoe collection and added CTMH sequins and CTMH ink and stamps.

I hope you had as productive weekend as I did!

NSD New Layout - 1st Day of School

Yet another NSD Layout - I'm on a missing to complete all 8 challenges for the Weekend Warrior! I'm so close.

This is a layout of DD on her 1st day of pre-K, or should I say her last 1st day of pre-K. She'd been attending Ascension Day School for years.

I played along with Paper Issues #StaySketch - 30 Days of Sketches. This is sketch #7.

I also played along with Bash Your Scrapbook Stash NSD Challenge - Ink Drag Challenge.  This challenge was to use your inks to create a background for your layout by dragging them across a piece of cardstock or patterned paper. You can use an ink pad and simply drag it across your paper or spray/ drop ink on your background and spread it with a tool. If you don't have ink you can use watercolors as a substitute. I used CTMH inks - pink of course.

For this layout I used CTMH inks and stamps, misc. ribbon from my stash, and a title from Jolee's. Such a fun weekend!

NSD New Layout - Better Together

NSD - it's still the weekend, so not technically over yet! I'm still scrapping.

This is a layout of our sweet, sweet neighbors - one of the best things about our neighborhood! Lots of cornhole and time spent outside playing in the afternoons/evenings - man we miss that.

I played along with Paper Issues May Challenge - You Light up My Life.
The sun is shining more and it is starting to warm up now that we are towards the end of Spring. We are challenging you create a layout all about light. Just create a project that features a light bulb, candle, a sun, bright colors or light colors. I used this new super fun and bright Blue Skies kit from CTMH.

I also played along with Bash Your Scrapbook Stash NSD Challenge Paper Strip Dimension ChallengeMake a project including some type of paper manipulation to create a NON-flat paper design; here I gave you 2 ideas – paper quilling with any tool and paper rolling. I used the new CRMH pinwheel diecut and folded my paper for the pinwheels.

I used all CTMH product except misc. ribbon and brads that I had in my stash.

Happy scrapping!

NSD New Layout - Sunshine

The day's not over yet! Yet another layout complete. This one is of our enormous sunflowers! I couldn't believe they grew to be as tall as we were. Juan does such a great job of taking care of our front and back yards.

I played along with Paper Issues #StaySketchy -30 Days of Sketches. This is sketch #12.

I also played along with Bash Your Scrapbook Stash Monochromatic Challenge. I used the color sunflower gold. It was perfect for my sunflower page, but very hard for me not to add other accent colors.

Finally, I played along with ScrapRoom Blog Stash Challenge. The challenge is to create a layout using a stash item on your layout for each letter in the word: BLING.

B: Burlap
L: Layering
I: Ink (sunflower on the 12" border strip)
N: Nature Photos
G: Gold

I used burlap, K&Company 12" border strip, twine from The Twinery, ink from CTMH, cricut design studio, and MME for paper, enamel shapes, enamel dots, date stickers, and zip strip.

I'm still not done, although it's getting late. See you again tomorrow!
