New Layout - 8th Birthday Harry Potter

I love when I get to scrapbook recent events. This layout is of photos of DD's recent 8th birthday this past September. Sh requested a Harry Potter theme and my mother made everyone capes and house scarves. We also got HP glasses and had a sorting hat sort them into houses as well as a Herbology class to replant mandrakes.

I played along with CSI Case File #307. The super sleuth scene immediately reminded me of these photos and how we made sure DD would end up in house "Griffendor". I used some of the colors, but not all; including rust, black, white, and mushroom. For "evidence" I used plaid, diagonal stripes, animals (griffin, phoenix, and dragon), eye glasses, tags, tabs and labels. For "testimony" I used the topic of birthday.

Thanks for visiting! I hope you get to have a scrappy weekend.

New Layout - 5th Birthday Activities

I'm finally getting around to posting the birthday layouts I completed the past couple of weeks. I was definitely feeling the birthday theme. These are pics of DD 5th birthday "Climbing" party. She loves climbing and is a little monkey.

I played along with CSI Case File #308. January was all about birthdays, so it worked out wonderfully!  I used many of the colors in the scene including orange, yellow, green, and even a dash of red and blue in the birthday cake and title.  For the product "clues" I used some older, geometric patterned papers. I also used some older birthday themed ephemera. I used a fancy pom pom fiber on both pages. For the "design clues" I used tone on tone effect with the green papers, and circular elements in the journaling tag and word phrase.

Thanks for visiting my little creative corner and swing by CSI to join along!

New Layout - 5th Year Climbing Birthday

Another week finished, and another layout complete! This layout is of DD's 5th birthday "Climbing" celebration.

I played along with CSI Case File #306.

I was immediately inspired by the colors and pulled out the invitation to her birthday. I used the title "Birthday Girl" to mimic the birthday theme. I used background paper with dots, hearts and birthday themed items. Even the background paper I used was a pink floral pattern and the invitation used multi-colored alphabets. I used the topic "birthday" and the words "Happy" and "Day."

Thanks for visiting and swing by CSI to play along!

New Layout - Art Pollock

Happy Saturday - I finished another layout! This one is of the Jackson Pollock exhibit at the DMA.

I played along with Paper Issues - January Vintage Scraplift challenge.  For this challenge I used vintage papers and colors in addition to the photos. The entire Pollock exhibit is of vintage paintings completed by Jackson Pollock around 60 years ago.

I used a lot of Teresa Collins product from the "Hello my name is" line.

New Layout - #BFF

This is a layout of Maddie and my BFFs daughter "decorating" the swing-set with chalk.

I played along with Paper Issues - January Split Personality challenge. For this challenge I split my paper int eh middle and then used horizontal ribbons to split the entire page in that direction as well. Finally, these two are split personalities in themselves - as you can see in the photos.

I used a mixture of all sorts of misc. product to create this page.  Thanks for visiting!

New Layout - Nutcracker

We took Maddie to the Nutcracker at the Dallas Children's Theater in 2016. It was a puppet show and she got to meet all the puppets and puppeteers after the show. She loves the DCT.

I played along with Paper Issues - January Sticker Shock challenge. The challenge was to use lots of sticker and adhesive.  I ended up using almost a whole page of stickers to layer all of this together.

I used a kit from Embellishkits.com for this layout.  Thanks for visiting!

New Layout - Merry Christmas

Yep, still me!  I told you that I have completed a lot of layouts recently.  I hope you've had a chance to be as scrappy as me.  This is another Christmas photo layout from this past year. No, I am by no means caught up - just cant resist these photos.

I played along with Paper Issues - January Monochromatic Fanatic challenge.  This challenge is to use a monochromatic layout and minimize colors.  I used all grays, whites, and silver with a tiny pop of gold for my layout.

I used all Close to my Heart materials.  Thanks for visiting!

New Layout - XMas Card 2019

Hi ya! I finished this layout using photos from this Christmas photo shoot and included our Christmas card.  It has hinges, so we can flip it open and see the other side.

I played along with Paper Issues - January Snow White challenge.  This challenge is to use snow photos, winter photos or start with white background.  I used winter Christmas photos and of course, a white background.

I used materials from Close to my Heart to create this page.

Thanks for visiting!

New Layout - Easter Egg Hunt

Still trying to catch up posting all of my recent pages, bare with me. This layout is from Easter 2016, both dyeing Easter eggs and then hunting them!

I played along with Paper Issues - January Go Go Gadget Gals challenge. The challenge was to use some sort of gadget in your scrap room.  I used my old crimper - do you still have one of those? I also used lots of different inks and stencils.

This layout was a from gototreasurebox.com.  I modified it to adjust all those photos. Thanks for visiting!

New Layout - Soccer GG vs Sweet Feet

It's me again! I finished another layout this evening. Yet another soccer layout - soccer season is a busy photograph season.

I played along with Paper Issues - January Let's Go to the Moo-Vies. This challenge was to create a layout about the Movies, cows, or the colors black and white. My layout uses black and white. I used EZ Laser Design cuts to create my page.

Thanks for visiting!

New Layout - GG Versus Snowflakes - Soccer

Happy New Year! I've been crazy busy with the holidays, work, family and now Girl Scout Cookie Season; but I have been able to do a little bit of crafting in the past couple of weeks!  This layout is of DD back in 2016 on the soccer field.

I played along with Paper Issues - January Keep it Sketchy.  Here is the sketch. I, of course, added a lot more photos; but the sketch got me started.  Have a wonderful weekend!
