My Little Shoebox Layout Contest at Page Maps

I created this layout for the "My Little Shoebox Layout Contest" over at Page Maps.  There is an awesome prize that I would just LOVE to win!  Here is the fabulous sketch:

I rotated the sketch and turned it into a double page layout.  I used papers by Fancy Pants and multiple ribbons, staples, and ink.  The font used is quickutz Abigail.  Here is my version:

I am also submitting this layout for the Scrap Your Food challenge over at Scrapbook Challenges.

11.15.10 Study Fever

Juan has been studying non-stop for his Architectural Licensing tests.  He studies almost every evening and most of the weekend.  I do catch him editing photos once in awhile, but for the most part he is seriously studying.  Tonight I found him in the spare bedroom on the couch with his laptop in study position!  Good luck baby!

11.14.10 Playing at the Park

Juan and I took Jakob to the park this afternoon.  It was a beautiful day and just beginning to cool off.  Jakob and Juan had a blast and I very much enjoyed watching Jakob mimic everything Juan did.  The little monkey loves the slides and the swings.  He also loves climbing on everything in sight!

11.13.10 Wedding Bouquet

I finally was able to pick up my wedding bouquet, almost 20 months after my wedding.  I had it preserved and the lady who preserved it went out of business right after she took our deposit and my bouquet.  I have been unable to reach her for the past few weeks and was panicing, but I finally managed to reach her and was able to pick up the completed product this weekend.  We hung it today and it was worth the wait.  It even has Juan's boutineer.

11.12.10 Aram plays Soccer

Our nephew Aram joined a soccer league this season for the first time.  Juan bought him an awesome soccer ball and shin guards.  He played a couple of different positions.  They only played about 6 games, but they gave every player a participation trophy and Aram was so proud of it!  He says he wants to play again next season.

11.11.10 Birthday Lunch with the Gals

The girls took me out to lunch today to celebrate my birthday at Traverna's.  It was a very rare occasion that Sarah was in town and all the baby Mama's were able to get away.  It was great to see everyone!  I miss them all so much.  Danna is home on maternity leave and Abby & Janet have decided to be SAHM's.

11.10.10 Owl Yummies

My friend, Shannon, sent me the cutest little owl goodies for Halloween.  Isn't it just too cute?  Thanks EMOSEWA!

11.09.10 Birthday Presents

Juan wasn't sure what to get me for my birthday, but he knows I love Christmas so he gave me an ornament tree and the 12 days of Christmas ornaments from Crate & Barrel.  He also gave me a glass tea light candle holder.  He also made us migas for breakfast!  He is very good to me.

11.08.10 P+W Golf Tournament

Today was my birthday and I was asked to play in the P+W golf tournament.  I even got to play on the same team as my hubby.  It was a beautiful day and a great way to spend my birthday.  I even managed to get us onto the green at hole 17 from my tee shot!

11.07.10 Scrapbook Weekend

Angie came to visit me for my birthday weekend.  We spent the weekend laughing, eating cupcakes and scrapbooking.  Vanessa came over on Sunday to join us.  It was a great weekend!

11.06.10 Birthday Dinner at the Melting Pot

For my birthday celebration we had a group dinner at the Melting Pot in Addison. Mom, Vanessa, Jakob, Miriam, Angie, Juan and I.  We stuffed ourselves silly.  It was so wonderful, but we made ourselves sick it was soooo rich. Good thing birthdays only come once a year.

11.05.10 I-Rock Birthday

Angie gave me an I-Rock and a ton of cool jems for my birthday.  I've been wanting one ever since they first came out.  I can't wait to try it out!

11.04.10 Birthday Flowers

Juan brought me home three different sets of flowers for my birthday.  The first set he brought home earlier this week to replace the ones that were dying, and the other two bouquets were gerber daisies.  He said that he bought two sets, one orange and one pink because one was for the guest room (Angie is arriving tomorrow) and the other was for me.  How sweet is he?

11.03.10 Dinner

I actually fixed dinner this evening.  Chicken pasta, snap peas, potatoes, and garlic bread.  It was mighty delicious.

11.02.10 Album Engraving

I finally got some more of my scrapbook albums engraved.  It's been a few years and they were piling up.  Blake Adams has always engraved my books and it took him a couple of months to engrave the 19+ albums.  I just love how they look all lined up on the shelves.  I have completed about 40 albums to date, so at about 20 pages per album I have completed roughly 1600 scrapbook pages!  Wow!
