Eating Again? - Let's Scrap 9-14-11 Sketch

YEAH!!!!!! I made my goal of 200 layout in 2011!!!!!  This was the final one, just minutes before midnight! This layout is about the first couple of days with Maddie and our routine for non-stop feedings. I had a ton of journaling, so I created an inside page to hide it all.

Here is my layout:

Here is the Let's Scrap sketch 9-14-11:

Madalynne's First Baths - Let's Scrap Sketch 12-28-11

Ok, I am so close to my goal of 200 pages in 2011! With this layout complete, I only need two more pages by midnight.....I can do it....I can do it.....if Maddie cooperates that is.  LOL.  This is a LO completed this morning on Maddie's first baths. She loved having her hair washed, but hated the bathing part. I later realized that I was supposed to fill the little Puj tub with water and leave the ducky sopping wet to keep her warm.  She was freezing....boy did I feel stupid. This layout is to remember what a green mama I was.  Here is my layout:

I used another fabulous Let's Scrap sketch 12-28-11!  Here is the sketch:

Welcome Home Baby - Let's Scrap sketch 12-7-11

I FINALLY completed my first layout for December! What a crazy month with the holidays and a new baby, I don't feel like I even paused to breathe.  I am 6 pages away from my 2011 goal of 200 pages; well my original goal was 300 but once the late term pregnancy arrived followed by baby.....that goal quickly faded to the wind.  So I adapted and modified my goal to 200.  I am determined to make it!  This layout means I only have 4 left! I do plan on enlarging the main photo to a 5x7, that is why the matt is so big. LOL.

Here is my layout:

I used Let's Scrap sketch 12-7-11.  Here is the sketch:

Maddie's First Laugh

Maddie started laughing on Christmas day.  This is a video we took on the 26th of Dec.  She hasn't got the fully belly laugh down yet, but it's pretty funny. She is growing so fast!

Enjoy!

Let's Scrap 11-23-11 Sketch - New Layout

Happy Wednesday! Today is my last day with little Maddie. I return back to work tomorrow. I return with mixed feelings. My brain is very much ready to discuss professional ideas with adults, but my heart is very sad not to be with my baby all day every day. I am planning to work a couple of hours a day from home so that I can spend most of the afternoon with my little girl, so hopefully that works out. Last night I managed to complete a layout for Maddie's book. This one used Let's Scrap sketch 11-23-11 and is about feeding Maddie skin to skin.

Here is my layout:

And here is the sketch I used:
11-23-11

Project Life - Week 48

Welcome to Project Life Tuesday 2011! If you are new to my blog, welcome! I hope you will stay awhile. I'm Jessica and I am participating in Project Life, a different way to record our lives by taking one photo a day. This was inspired by the fabulous Becky Higgins who has put together a wonderful kit to make this challenge easier.

Don't worry, I'm not leaving traditional scrapbooking behind. This just gives me the opportunity to focus my scrapbooking on trips and things that are important to me right now and not get all bogged down with every birthday, dinner, and holiday that comes along.

Each Tuesday, I will post my pictures/journaling from the previous week. Project Life Tuesday was created by Jessica Turner over at The Mom Creative and she hosts a linky for readers to link up their pictures. So if you want to join in or want to see others POTW, just click the Project Lift button at the top of this post.

And finally, my POTW:

Saturday - We decorated the Christmas tree today.  Maddie liked the Christmas lights! Don't worry, the are LED lights.

Sunday - Today was, our nephew, Jakob's 3rd birthday party. It's amazing that he is already that big. They grow so fast!

Monday - I took Maddie to see Santa for the first time today. She screamed bloody murder. This was the only picture where she is not crying. I never should have tried to take her by myself.

Tuesday - Maddie and her sock monkey! So cute.

Wednesday - Maddie is just about to outgrow her pig bath towel. Today we used her owl towel for the first time. She likes her baths now.

And finally, my POTW:

Saturday - One of Juan's brothers, Gaston, came to visit today from Florida and got to meet Maddie for the first time. She was enthralled when he was talking to her. I think she saw the resemblance to Juan but the voice didn't match Daddy's and she was confused. It was very cute.
Sunday - Daddy feeding Maddie, a daily occurance. She is in her star outfit, so fluffy.

Monday - Today was Maddie's 2 month appointment. She got an oral medication and three shots of immunizations in her little thighs. She was quite the trooper, poor little thing.

Tuesday - Maddie and Mommy had a rough night last night. Maddie was very fussy from her shots and didn't sleep well. This morning Mommy brought Maddie into her bed to try and get her to sleep for a little while longer.

Wednesday - Juan's brother, Jaime, from San Antonio flew in this morning to spend Thanksgiving with us. It was his first time meeting Maddie and he was instantly enamored. Maddie, of course, was ready to eat as soon as we hit the airport, so Tio Jaime fed her.

Thursday - We hosted Thanksgiving at our house again this year. We had 12 people attend.. It was definitely harder getting everything ready with an infant. Good thing we had an extra set of hands. The ones not pictured here are Miriam and Isabella. We have a LOT to be thankful for this year. God has truly blessed us!

Friday - Today was another jam packed day. I was intent on getting the Christmas decorations up and Juan was intent on having a BBQ with all of his family over again. It was a long day, but we did manage to go pick out Maddie's first Christmas tree! She was obviously super excited.

Thanks for visiting our little corner of the world this week!
