New Layouts (153-163)

We went to Ohio for our niece's wedding a couple weeks ago. It was a quick trip, so I decided to start scrapping it right away.

New Layouts (142-152)

I haven't been scrapping a lot, but when I do - I knock them out.  Here's a few of my recents:

New Layout - Gingerbread House (248-249)

Christmas is over....time to scrap!

I created this layout for the CSI Case file #377 challenge. I used the color scheme, mixing many patterened papers, I created a Christmas layout, adding elements like candy, candy canes, I used an older date stamp, I used not two but 5 different alphabets for my titles, I used enamel dots (similar to nuvo drops), and I used a speech bubble tag for the photo description on the right.

I also played along with Paper Issues Dec. challenge The Christmas House and scrapped our gingerbread house making annual tradition.

Finally, I played along with BashYourScrapbookStash December Daily Stash Dash Day 19 Gingerbread or Food.  #BYSSStashDash2021

New Layout - Quarantine XMAS (246-247)

Merry Everything!

It's been a crazy couple of weeks, but I am FINALLY ready to relax and enjoy this season with my family. BTW that means a lot of scrapping - I hope.  This is the only layout I've done recently and I am way short of my 365 page goals this year, but my number of 247 isn't all that bad......considering the year.

This is from last year our tradition of our elf bringing our family PJs on XMAS eve.  This year he event brought our puppies sweaters!

I created this layout for CSI casefile 376

I took inspriation from the scene, using words like the framed words.  For my evidence, I used all the colors, plaid, wood grain year stickers, I framed my photos using a black marker, I used Christmas themed elements including poinsetta and christmas patterned papers, my photos are of dogs, I included metal words, arrows, a calendar date card, and a chalkboard element for my Quarantined title. For my testimony I documented something about Christmas and framed my journaling. I even included a letter from our Elf, Rufus.

I also played along with Paper Issues Dec challenge The Christmas Bow.

New Layouts - Grandma and COVID Walks (237-238)

Happy Sunday!

I'm sharing a couple of layouts I completed this weekend. The first is of our painted plywood characters that Juan put out in the yard in different places everyday when COVID started to amuse the children walking with their families on their daily walks.  I used a sketch from Sketch N Scrap #236 and played along with Paper Issues My Momma's Recipe challenge.  This challenge was harder than I thought as there were a lot of components: On your project you must include: 1 doily, 2 photos, 4 papers, 2 alphas, 4 word title, 5 pieces of ephemera, 3 stickers and 2 tags. I used the PinkFresh Let's Stay Home line and tags from Elle's Studio. The alphas are PinkFresh and Altenew. Finally, I was inspired by the BYSS Motivate Me list for "World Kidness Day". This wasn't on the actual day, but inspired me to scrap this neighborhood kindenss activity during COVID.

Here is the sketch I used:

For my second layout I scrapped our social distance outdoor visit with my Grandma during COVID. Unfortunately this was the last visit she was able to make due to COVID. By the time her Assisted Living facility reopened, she had a stroke and has been bedridden and paralized. I'm so thankful we had this afternoon and were able to get these photos of her.  I played along with Paper Issues sketch for the week and again used PinkFresh Let's Stay Home line. I used 3 different stencils and 4 colors of distressed oxides: Tea Dye, Victorian Velvet, Tubmled Glass, and Blueprint sketch.  I added multiple stamps from CTMH and a tag from Elle's Studio. Finally, I was inspired by BYSS Motivate Me list "We Are Family" to create this layout.

Happy Friday!

I've finished a couple more layouts this week!

I played along with the Paper Issues challenge Taco Tuesday where the challenge was to use a folding technique. I folded my background to use both sides of the patterned paper.

For my second layout I used a kit from Out On A Limb. I added a journaling block and a few other embellishments from my stash.

For my third layout I used a kit from Go To Treasure Box. I added misc ephemera from my stash and a title from Paper Wizard. I played along with Paper Issues Couch Potato challenge. I was inspired by Potato to scrap my daughters Thanksgiving Feast day at school.
