Scrapping this weekend with my girlies in Oklahoma! Already one page complete!
I used a Let's Scrap Sketch (left side) 9-1-10:
I played along with the Colorful Creations - March Inspired challenge. Here is the picture inspiration:
I was inspired by the colors, the shape of the cupcake liners, and even the little cupcake flags. I added a stick to my journaling block to mimic the flag. I used a large die-cut paper to mimic the cupcake liner, and the colors light blue, white, and pink. Such a cute picture!
I also played along with Apron Strings - Love Your Stash Challenge. The challenge is "dig into your stash, go as far back as you can, and pull out your oldest kit and combine it with something new. If you don't have a kit, simply pull out your oldest papers and a handful of coordinating embellishments. Mix up the old and new." The large die-cut paper is brand new by Fancy Pants and I combined it with an old K&Company sheet and an old 3 Bugs in A Rug paper. I love using up old stash! Combining it with new goodies make me feel better about continuing to buy when I already have more then I will EVER use! :)
Finally, I selected these photos as inspiration for Paper Issues latest challenge - to link up a Springy project. Maddie in her spring dress last year was just the jump I needed to start on some of those older photos!
Here are a couple of close-ups:
Materials Used: Paper - Fancy Pants, K&Company, 3 Bugs in a Rug; journaling block - colorbok; flower - Prima; brads - Imaginsice & Basic Grey; rub-on - My Mind's Eye; label - Colorbok; ink - CTMH.
Thanks for visiting! I will hopefully be posting MANY more completed layouts this weekend!
