New Layout - Splash

Happy Friyay!

I'm finally beginning my scrappy weekend! Here is a layout of DD playing in the sprinkler! So cute.

I played along with the PI Birthday Party challenges. For the left side, I played with the Face Painting challenge. This challenge is to get messy! Grab any mixed media your heart desires. Water color, Gelatos, distress oxides, spray inks or whatever you choose. Show off your skills and make a design or make a mess! I used distressed oxide Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron and the smooshing technique. Then I used the Carta Bella Bat bones stencil with white embossing paste. The paste absorbed the green automatically. Then I added splatters with Faded Demin distress oxide. I also inked my date stamp at the top right.

For the right side I played with the Silly String challenge. This challenge is to grab your stash of fibers, strings, twine or ribbon and make it a prominent part of your page! I used fiber behind my title and ric-rack on my chipboard.

I also played along with Bash Your Scrapbook Stash Bash-O. For the left side I covered my "Distressed Oxides" square. For the right side I covered my "texture Paste/Glaze" square. Here is a closeup of my inking/texture paste.

Materials used: paper piecing from Gototreasurebox, VB mixed media paper, distress oxides, Carta bella stencil, Echo Park stickers and journaling block, paper crimper, misc buttons, chipboard and fiber/ric rac from my stash.

New Layout - Dump Cake

Happy Friday Yall,

I'm so excited for this weekend! Not only am I participating in the Bash-O over at Bash Your Scrapbook Stash, I am also on a team at Paper Issues for their Birthday Party!  Hopefully I will be posting, A LOT.

This is recent photos of my MIL and the Dump Cake we baked for her this year. COVID kept us from being able to order or buy a cake, or go out somewhere, so I dug up an old recipe from my Great Grandmother! Maddie had never had it and was excited to help me make it. Yummy!

I played along with the PI Birthday Party challenge Hot Potato. This challenge is to quickly create a layout and pass it back to your team leader. The faster, the better but this comes with a twist. Each team will be designated a 'party favor' that must be included on their project.  Our party favor was 'CAKE'. I used photos and embellies of cakes! I had my layout complete within 3 hours of it being posted! I'm on a roll.

I also played along with Bash Your Scrapbook Stash Bash-O. For the left side I covered my "3 photo" square. For the right side I covered my heart square. I used paper and embellishments with hearts.

I used a kit from Paper loft and added a rub-on title from MME, flags from BasicGrey, stickers from EchoPark, die-cuts from BasicGrey, layered stickerf from Creative imaginations, stamps and ink from CTMH.

Here is my current Basho-O card:

I used a kit from Paper Loft and added a fire from Jolee's, arrows from MayaRoads, hexagons from jillibean soup, and paint from my stash.

New Layout - Back2School

Happy Hump day my scrappy friends!

I finished this layout of DD's first day back to F2F instruction this year! I really am excited that I got this documented while all the information is still fresh in my head. The little jounral helped me document the timeline of decisions and the back and forth iterations of virtual and Face to Face.

I played along with Paper Issues Oct challenge - Attachment IssuesWe challenge you to create a page featuring those ways to attach things. Attach things to your page using staples, paper clips, eyelets or brads.  I used brads for the journal, paper clips, twine, and clipboards.

I also played along with Bash Your Scrapbook Stash - Bash-O!  For the left I completed my square "Back 2 School" and for the left I completed my square "Selfie". The pocket photo is a selfie of the 3 of us before Maddie's first day of F2F School!

I used a kit from Paper Wizard and added clips from Basic Grey, stamps and ink from CTMH and PhotoPlay, and ric rack from Wrights. I popped up the clipboard tops to make them 3D.

Here are photos of the inside of my journal:

New Layout - Just Roll with It

Happy Tuesday,

I'm happy to report that I am finally out of the hospital. I went to the ER Saturday morning for severe stomach pain and they ended up admitting me and keeping me for 3 days. I am feeling better, although completely over everything. I took the day off to rest and let my stomach settle and have been doing a bit of scrapping.

This is a layout of DD and my MIL making homemade tortillas when she was just 2-1/2 year old. Such sweet photos and memories.

For this layout I played along with the Paper Issues Oct challenge World Series. This challenge is to share a project about baseball, world travels, globes, your favorite TV series or a series of something. Get Creative!  I used a series of photos of DD and my MIL making homemade tortillas together!

I also am playing along with the Bash Your Scrapbook Stash Bash-O this week! My left side layout I bashed metal by using metal cooking brads.  For the right side I bashed stamps by using stamps from 4 different lines (CTMH and Elle's Studio)!

Here is my Bash-O board:

I used a kit from CTMH, ink and stamps from CTMH, nuvo dots (Neptune Tourqouise), ribbon from CTMH, brads from Eyelet Outlet, and stickers/punchouts from CTMH.

New Layout - These Boots were made for Splashing

Happy Friday,

I'm so glad the weekend is here and I hope to spend a lot of time in my scraproom this weekend!

This layout is of DD at age 2-3/4 splashing in muddy puddles. She was so cute!

I played along with Paper Issues Oct challenge Sprinkle it with Love. This challenge is to complete a project that feature sequins, sprinkle some mist around, use nuvo drops. You could also scrap those photos that have sprinkles in them.  I used a glitter brush for the "made for", added distressed oxide splatters all over the background, and epoxy dots on the splashes for my "sprinkles".

I used a kit from Out on a Limb and added Distressd oxide splatter in tumbled glass, epoxy dots from Queen&Co, ink and stamps from CTMH and chipboard words from American Crafts.

Thanks for visiting, I hope you have crafty weekend!

New Layout - Do Something Silly

Happy Sunday,

I finished one more layout this evening, this one of dear Hubby and dear Daughter at the Sculpture Garden. I just love their kissy faces. Sweetest thing EVER!

I played along with Paper Issues October challenge Monochromatic Fanatic. I used all black and gray and used photos of black/gray/metal at the sculpture garden. Monochromatic is really hard for me as I always like a pop of color!

I used a kit from Paper Loft and added rubons from Basic Grey and 7gypies, a journaling block from CTMH, ink from CTMH, ribbon from American Crafts, and Nuvo Dots.

New Layout - Dallas

Happy Sunday,

I'm still scrapping, but very slowly this morning. I played with my new Distress Oxides! I used a star die cut and used that as a template. I used Squeezed Lemonade, Scatterd Straw, Mustard Seed, and Fossilized Amber. I used Nuvo brushes to apply the ink and then used my distressed sprayer and rolled paper towels over it to pick up some color. I then used darker inks to stamp star images and added water/paint brush to make splatters. At the midpage I applied ink directly to the page and sprayed water and let it drip down the page. I'm super excited at how it turned out.

I played along with Paper Issues October challange Put a Cork in It. I added a cork USA and cork stars from Elle's Studio. I also added PhotoPlay journaling blocks, Nuvo Drops, ink from CTMH, stamp from PhotoPlay, and a title from Paper Wizard.

I hope you are having a relaxing weekend!

New Layout - Birds of a Feather

Happy Saturday my scrappy friends,

My daughter and my best friends daughter have become best friends on their own. It is adorable to watch and we love when we are able to get together since we live in different states. These are photos of them from 2017 when they were just 6 years old. ADORABLE!

I played along with Paper Issues October challenge, Birds of a Feather. These photos were perfect for this challenge and I paper pieced the birdies together.

I used a kit from ScrapbookFunAddicts and added tags from CocoDaisy, ink and stamps from CTMH, Nuvo Dots, and chalk from my stash.
