Project Life - Week 39

Welcome to Project Life 2015! If you are new to my blog, welcome! I hope you will stay a while. I'm Jessica, wife to Juan, mommy to 4 year old Maddie. I am also an electrical engineer by day and I am participating in Project Life, a different way to record our lives by taking one photo a day. This was inspired by the fabulous Becky Higgins.

I am using a digital kit on Shutterfly. This digital version is SUPER easy to use! See my completed pages for 2012 using the Shutterfly - Project Life Turquoise Edition HERE and my 2013 album using the Shutterfly - Project Life Childhood - Mayfield Edition HERE I will hopefully be posting my 2014 pages soon.

And finally, my POTW (pictures of the week) -

Thursday - Today was Mama/Daughter day, so Maddie and I went to JCPenney's to have her 4 year photo session with Mrs. Tiffany and then we headed to McAllister's for lunch. This evening was more soccer, soccer, soccer. Coach Juan had them practice their tossing and catching - most of the girls are beginning to be able to catch the ball. They also ran sprints, trying to outrace each other and Coach Juan. Then he taught them how to stop the ball. They had to learn to put different body parts on the ball when he called them out. "Knee" and "Head" were my two favorites. This taught them to stop the ball with their foot. He also had them maneuver the ball down, around a flag and back to goal where they "took the shot" on goal. Maddie is great at "shot on goal" and has tremendous strength in her kicks!

Saturday - Today was Audrey's 7th Birthday Party. It was a mermaid swim party. Maddie didn't really swim, more like played in the hot tub, but she was in the water. She loved the craft time. They made their own tea cups and bracelets. She had a blast playing pretend tea time. This afternoon we had another soccer game against the Unicorns! Our girls did a little better, but were way more aggressive than the Unicorns. Maddie did great. She hustled to the ball and managed to steal it a couple of times. She scored quite a bit again, but still a couple of times on our goal. They looked pretty cute out their chasing the ball. They still tend to keep running with the ball if they pass the goal, often requiring one of the parents or coaches to run after the team.

Sunday - Another fun filled day! We started with Noel's 3rd Birthday Party at Part Time Princess Parties in Arlington. Maddie dressed up as Ariel and was very excited to wear all her fake jewelry. Noel was Tinkerbell. They had a little tea party and then met the "real" princesses Ariel and Tiana. They did a bunch of princess dancing and then they got their makeup and nails done by the princess's. They also got tattoos and made a princess art sheet. After more candy, they had photos with the princess's and ended with more princess dancing. It was obvious Maddie was not nearly as versed in Princess dancing as the other girls. When they did the "sleep" dance, she just layed on the floor and closed her eyes. It was a super cute little party. This evening was our Moss Haven Neighborhood Picnic at the school. Daddy bailed on us, so it was just Maddie and I. She loved the pony ride and asked if she could ride the big horse the second time. Of course the let her. She also got her face painted, a balloon hat, ran the obstacle course multiple times, ate a hot dog, ate a Minion ice cream, pet a goat, and rode the train. It was an event filled day!

Monday - Maddie "helped" Daddy in the attic today. She put on his headlight to show him how it was done. Adam came over and played the dinosaur matching game with Maddie. She very much loves her brother.

Tuesday - Today we opened Maddie's Lego Juniors Supermarket Suitcase that she received from Ian for her birthday. It's for ages 4-7 so I was afraid it would be too complicated. She was actually able to follow the step by step instructions with only a little help from me once in awhile. She loved building it and playing with the little people and scooter. It's an amazing little kit and great for her to work with little pieces.

Thanks for visiting!
