Winter Wonderland - New Layout Load 1&2

I spent the entire day in bed being lazy! It was WONDERFUL! I finally decided to get out of be at about 4pm and finished this layout that I began last night. We took Maddie to the ICE exhibit at the Gaylord Texan over the holidays. Here is the resulting layout:

Let's Scrap is hosting a LOAD (Lay Out A Day) for the month of January. I'm not sure I will be able to finish 31 layouts, but I am giving it a go. Here is #1 & 2.

For the left side I used this sketch #115 from Inspired Blueprints. I had a lot of photos so I substituted a photo collage for one of the 4x6 spaces.

I also played along with My Scraps & More - 5th Day of Christmas challenge. This challenge was to use an part of the photo below on your layout.  I used "Dashing through the snow" on the sticker title used in the middle of the photo collage.

Finally, for this side I played along with Sketches4All - Rachelle's January challenge - Let it snow. Her challenge is to use white. I used white in the mats on the photos, the journaling blocks and even in the title. There is also white in the snowflakes on the background paper and the white 3D snowflakes.

For the right side, I used a sketch from Sketch N Scrap # 48. I rotated and mirrored the sketch to work with my photos.

For this side I played along with Kristi B's Scrappy Friends - January challenge. This challenge is to use one or more of the words below in your title. I used "CHILL".

To play along with Kelly's Scrappy Friends - January challenge, I used the following color scheme. The challenge requires a minimum of 3 colors shown. You are also allowed to use kraft, black and white paper as well.  I used almost all the colors: grey in the background paper on the snowflakes, the washi and the title, light blue in the journaling block and paper strip, dark blue in our coats in the photos, cranberry in the washi tape and the chipboard banner, and green in the snowman's hat. I did add white to my color scheme.

I also played along with Paper Issues current challenge - Shiny and New. I used shiny snowflakes, shiny thickers, and even added shiny stickles to my paper. The new is both NEW photos and new embellishments (the little snowman and the snowflakes).

Finally, I played along with Sketches4All - Libby's challenge, which is to use a snowman and a wintery theme.

There is still time to play along with most of these challenges. Head over and check them out to play along!

Materials used: paper - MME, snowflakes - MME & Jolee's by EK Success; chipboard - MME; title - Me&MyBigIdeas; washi - CTMH; journaling block - making memories, SNAP studio, and Colorbok.

Thanks for visiting!
