Project Life - Week 41

Welcome to Project Life 2013! If you are new to my blog, welcome! I hope you will stay a while. I'm Jessica, wife to Juan, mommy to 2 year old Maddie. I am also an electrical engineer by day and I am participating in Project Life, a different way to record our lives by taking one photo a day. This was inspired by the fabulous Becky Higgins who has put together a wonderful kit to make this challenge easier.

I am using the digital kit on shutterfly (hopefully Olive once it has been released), find more info at http://www.beckyhiggins.com/blog. This digital version uses Shutterfly and is SUPER easy to use! See my completed pages for 2012 using the Shutterfly Cobalt kit HERE.

And finally, my POTW (pictures of the week):

Thursday - It's been a rough couple of weeks for Maddie. Last week she fell off the slide at Mother's Day Out and cut her lip. Then she went on a walk with Abuelitos and fell down and skinned her chin. This week she climbed into our bathtub and was playing "humpty dumpty sat on the wall"; where she sits on the end of the bathtub and then slides down into the tub once she says, "humpty dumpty had a great fall." Well she went into the tub by herself and then slipped on the stone platform and hit her eye on the edge of the tub. It's been an oowie kind of month.

Saturday - We took Maddie to the Big Orange Pumpkin Patch today. She had a great time feeding the cows and goats, eating hot dogs, riding the train, riding on the hayride, navigating the hay maze and so much more. Oh and there were lots of pumpkins, "baby pumpkins" said Maddie. Daddy even taught her to "punch, punch, punch" the hay in the hay maze. They are so silly together. Here is the video.

Sunday - They opened the new Rory Meyers Children's Adventure Garden at the Arboretum. We took Maddie, Nana, Aunt Vanessa, Jakob and Ashlyn today. It was amazing! We stopped first at the Pumpkin Village with over 50,000 pumpkins! The kiddos always have a ball with all the pumpkins. Then we headed over to the Children's Garden. Although it was cloudy and began to drizzle on our way out, the kids had a great time. They loved the water areas. And watching the kids in the Tornado was quite a sight. See the video HERE. Maddie wanted to hold Jakob's hand, that was too cute. They all loved the vegetable playground, especially the celery slide and the pea pod. We will definitely be returning soon!

Monday - Maddie is obsessed with her rain boots. She puts them on and takes them off by herself. She wears them almost everyday. Aunt Miri came over today and showed Maddie her boots. Maddie thought it was great that they both had boots on!

Thanks for visiting!
