Project Life - Week 42

Welcome to Project Life 2013! If you are new to my blog, welcome! I hope you will stay a while. I'm Jessica, wife to Juan, mommy to 2 year old Maddie. I am also an electrical engineer by day and I am participating in Project Life, a different way to record our lives by taking one photo a day. This was inspired by the fabulous Becky Higgins who has put together a wonderful kit to make this challenge easier.

I am using the digital kit on shutterfly (hopefully Olive once it has been released), find more info at http://www.beckyhiggins.com/blog. This digital version uses Shutterfly and is SUPER easy to use! See my completed pages for 2012 using the Shutterfly Cobalt kit HERE.

And finally, my POTW (pictures of the week):

Thursday - A picture that Ascension Day School posted of Maddie today on Facebook. "I see you, Mrs. Lisa" was the comment posted with it. You are too cute!

Saturday - We took Maddie to the Aquarium today. She loved the shark tank and watched the sharks for a long time. There was a person in a Crocodile costume that scared her at first, but then she wanted to follow around. She mimic'd the flamingos by standing on one foot and liked watching the penguins dive into the water. After the Aquarium, we took Maddie on her first horse drawn carriage ride. It was a beautiful day and she loved riding in the carriage. It was another wonderful family day. We are so blessed to be able to spend this time together as a family.

Sunday - Tonight was our neighborhood block party. Almost every single neighbor from our block attended! There are a ton of kiddos on our block. It was fabulous to meet so many neighbors. Maddie had so much fun, especially with Zoey (4) and Chase (18 months). We also met Hollie, Jeff and their son, Will (4), Willa (18 months) and her brother (4). Of course Leann and her son Charlie (7) were there, as were quite a few others that I still don't know their names. Our neighbors Jeff, Jennifer and their kids Henry, Norah and Jude were not able to attend. We also met the newest neighbors Andrea and her husband. We really were steered by God in finding this amazing house and neighborhood. I am looking forward to many more years of block parties!

Monday - We took Maddie to get her pictures taken in her Halloween costume. She was adamant that she wanted to be a crocodile. Pottery barn didn't have a Crocodile costume and that's where we went to get her costume. I tried desperately to get her to be the adorable lion or the awesome dragon, but she wanted no part of them, just saying, "Crocodile" over and over. I finally gave up and home we went. A couple days later I asked her again, "what do you want to be for Halloween?" "A crocodile" was her answer, so to the internet I went. She was very excited when her costume arrived and she was even more excited to show Tiffany, our photographer, her costume. She said, "trick or treat," over and over. Here is the super cute video!

Thanks for visiting!
