Ready 2 Play - New Layout

Hi scrappy friends! The Great American Scrapbook Convention started today in Arlington. I didn't get to attend today, but tomorrow I am there! Whoo hoo. Unfortunately, no one could join me, so I will be shopping solo. I finished another layout this afternoon. I think if I can use up some stash, I won't feel quite so guilty about my purchases tomorrow. LOL! I really don't NEED anything else, but I just can't resist. My layout is of DD at 33 days old. DH is a huge soccer fan, and huge is an understatement. He's been a player, a coach, and a spectator of this sport. He started DD early with a soccer rattle that he strapped on her little foot.

I used another sketch from Pamela's World of Scrap - #223 (the 2nd one below).

I also played along with Colorful Creations - June Song Challenge. This challenge was to use a word, several words, sentence, verse, or whole song (from "Centerfield" by John Fogerty), somewhere on your project. I used "Ready to Play" as my title. These words are lyrics in the chorus.

Finally, I played along with Scrap Your Story Challenge #14 - to use song Lyrics.  In my journaling I included the song that I sang to Maddie every morning when she was little. It is a made up song, but has a full chorus, LOL! I've been wanting to get that memory recorded for a long time. This challenge gave me the push to get it completed. The song goes:

"Good Morning, Good Morning, We love to say Good Morning. Good Morning, Good Morning, Good Morning to you!
Good Morning, Good Morning, We love to sing Good Morning. Good Morning, Good Morning, Good Morning to you!"

Here are a couple of closeup photos:

Materials used: paper - Heidi Grace & unknown scraps; arrow - Scenic Route; sticker - unknown & MME; thickers - Dear Lizzy and American Crafts.

Thanks for visiting!
