My child care needed to visit the Dr. today, so I am home with sweet DD. We spent the morning running about town and are now completely engrossed in watch the rain fall. I also got to spend a bit of scrappy time and completed this layout from Maddie's 1 month Well baby Dr. visit. I had lots of journaling on this one.
I used this sketch from Pamela's World of Scrap - sketch #59 (the 3rd one down).
I used this sketch from Pamela's World of Scrap - sketch #59 (the 3rd one down).
I also played along with Scrappy Friends - Rochelle Spears and her June photo inspiration challenge. Here is the photo:
I was inspired by the colors and used blue, pink, white and a weathered brown/grey background. I was also inspired by the corrugated metal look and used LOTS of linear lines in my layout from the journaling, to the measuring tape, to the background paper.
Finally, I played along with Inkido's June challenge - to use scallops. I went a bit overboard with this one. I started with a die-cut circle that was edged with scallops and then added a Martha Stewart border punch of scallops behind my tape measure ribbon.
Here are a couple of closeups -
Materials used: paper - Heidi Grace, Deja Views, & MME; letter stickers BG; number - Adornit; flags - BG; ribbon - unknown; border punch - Martha Stewart; journaling blocks - unknown.
Thanks for visiting!
