SYTYCS #16 - Sip & See

Hello scrappy friends!  It's been another crazy week. Unfortunately I have been working 15 hour days, so not much time to scrap. I did make it to the next round of SYTYCS (So You Think You Can Scrap) over at Colorful Creations. This is now the 16th week, so I couldn't just give up. The deadline to post for this week is in 2 short hours, so I just made it in before the deadline.

This layout is of the Sip & See that my office threw for us after Maddie was born. Since she was five weeks early, we missed the shower they have planned. Once Maddie was 2 months old, we took her with us and let everyone meet her. They also showered us with baby gifts.

The challenge this week was to use the following sketch and:

1. Stay True To Sketch - I even used the same background paper.
2. Must use 8 Photos  - 8 photos used
3. Must use 6 Buttons - I used 9 buttons
4. Must use 3 Different Stamps - I actually used 4 stamps, two background stamps for the squares, the shoes under the button at the bottom left, and the baby stroller at the end of the title. They are all CTMH stamps.
5. Must use a ticket embellishment - used Tim Holtz tickets (2)
6. Use Ric Rac - I used ric rac at the bottom.
7. Must be a monochromatic layout - I used brown for my monochromatic layout including the buttons, ink, ric rack, papers, paint, tickets, and twine.
8. 2 recycled embellishments, buttons will not count - my recycled embellishments are the negative strip and the twine was recycled from flowers used in both the buttons at the top and the ties on the edge of the chipboard window.
9. None of these may be combined (for example if you stamp a ticket, it will not count as one of your stamps)

Here are a couple close-up photos:

Materials used: paper - Paper Pizzaz and Bazzil; buttons - unknown; tickets - Tim Holtz; chipboard - CTMH; fabric bow - Dear Lizzy; stamps - CTMH; ric rac - Wrights; ink - CTMH

Thanks for visiting!
