Welcome to Project Life 2012! If you are new to my blog, welcome! I hope you will stay a while. I'm Jessica, wife to Juan, mommy to new baby Maddie. I am also an electrical engineer by day and I am participating in Project Life, a different way to record our lives by taking one photo a day. This was inspired by the fabulous Becky Higgins who has put together a wonderful kit to make this challenge easier.
I am using the digital Cobalt kit, find it at http://www.beckyhiggins.com/blog/2011/10/new-product-has-arrived/ This digital version uses Shutterfly and is SUPER easy to use! See my completed pages for 2012 at http://scraplifterdesigns.blogspot.com/p/project-life-layouts.html
And finally, my POTW (pictures of the week):
Sunday - We went to lunch at Matito's before Shannon headed out of town. Maddie loves lemons and tried to eat this one whole. It's crazy that she doesn't even make a sour face. She is getting much better with crayons and even managed to draw a couple of lines.
Tuesday - My bestie, Angie, sent me my birthday present with an awesome little surprise for Maddie, the Elf on the Shelf. Maddie had a ton of fun with the peanuts they were packaged in. My present was this awesome little creation, hanging proudly in my scrap room! Thanks Ang!
Thursday - Thanksgiving and we have so much to be thankful for. Our little family is happy and healthy, although hubby could use a job! :) My bestie, Miriam, joins us every year for this holiday and this year Maddie loved watching the parade with Aunt Miri! The turkey turned out perfect and Juan carved it, although not with his teeth. Nana, Miriam, Abuelito, Abuelita, Tio Marco, Tia Gracie, Prinscella and Isabella all joined us for a fabulous meal! Maddie was quite proud of her new talent for walking and pranced around all day. We give thanks to the Lord for all our blessings!
Friday - We started off the day by picking out a Christmas tree at Lowe's. Maddie found us just the perfect one. Then Juan started putting up the lights while Maddie and watched from the swing set. It might be 70 degrees, but the Christmas spirit has arrived at the Navarro house.
Saturday - We decided to take a break from the holiday decorating and brave the Black Saturday mess to get a bit of Christmas shopping done. Thankfully it wasn't very crouded and we finished almost all of our gift buying. We also spent a little bit of time finishing the lights. Maddie was more then willing to climb on the roof and help Daddy.
Thanks for visiting and I hope you and your family had a blessed Thanksgiving!
