Maddie & Santa 2011 - Challenge Layout

Happy Sunday! I can't believe it is almost Christmas. Thankfully, I have been done with all the decorating, shopping and wrapping for days. Now I can just relax and enjoy the remaining season and maybe get a little scrapping done!

This is my layout for Maddie last year on her first visit with Santa!

This layout

I am playing along with Colorful Creations "Say it with words" for Dec. The word is "JOY" and I used a clip with the word "Joy".

I used a sketch from Sketchbook 365 Dec. challenge:

I'm also playing along with Frosted Designs 12 Days of Christmas Day 4. This layout has "4 pattern papers", all from the Jovial Basic Grey line.

Finally, I'm playing along with Apron Strings "Wrap it Up #8". This challenge is to pull inspriration from the following picture.  I knew instantly that I wanted to use this photo of Maddie with Santa from last year. The white chocolate covering reminded me so much of this Santa's beard that I knew I had to scrap it! It also inspired me to create layers on my layout to replicate the layers of yumminess in the box.

Here are a couple of closeups of my page:

Materials Used:  paper, paperclip, office tab, chipboard & sticker - Basic Grey "Jovial" line; punch - Creative Memories and Fiskars; quickutz alphabets - Abigail & Finale; twine - MME; ribbon - CTMH.

Thanks for visiting!

O.k., this must have been before she noticed she was sitting on Santa's lap, right? The last picture I saw included one where she is crying. It's nice to see a "happy" layout and then one like she really felt, right? You did a great job on the challenge over at Frosted Designs:) Thanks so much for playing along!

I love those papers and the sweet photo of your little one! Great use of the sketch, too. I might need to file that one away to use! Thanks for playing along with our 12 Days of Christmas challenge at Frosted Designs :)
