Project Life - Week 33

Welcome to Project Life 2012! If you are new to my blog, welcome! I hope you will stay a while. I'm Jessica, wife to Juan, mommy to new baby Maddie. I am also an electrical engineer by day and I am participating in Project Life, a different way to record our lives by taking one photo a day. This was inspired by the fabulous Becky Higgins who has put together a wonderful kit to make this challenge easier.

I am using the digital Cobalt kit, find it at http://www.beckyhiggins.com/blog/2011/10/new-product-has-arrived/ This digital version uses Shutterfly and is SUPER easy to use! See my completed pages for 2012 at http://scraplifterdesigns.blogspot.com/p/project-life-layouts.html

And now my pictures of the week:
Sunday - We FINALLY have a place to install my oak shelves. I built these in junior high shop class and have had them stored for 12 years since I moved to Dallas with no where to hang them. They are about 8 feet wide. We hung them today in our spare bedroom which is going to have a travel theme. I love how they look!

Monday - Our hummingbird feeder is attracting a ton of little visitors. On a sadder note, Juan was fired today out of the blue after 12 years at his architectural firm. It was a very bad experience and we have lost all respect for that firm and how they handled it. I was in complete shock with no warning this was even a possibility. We spent the afternoon with my brother and sister-in-law over many adult beverages.

Tuesday - Juan spent the afternoon documenting the "tough times" that we are now facing with a photography session with Maddie. I guess it could be worse.

Wednesday - Today Maddie turned 11 months old. Every month I say I can't believe how big she is getting. I feel like I blinked and she is no longer my little baby. I love her so much!

Thursday - Juan working on his resume. It's been a long, tough week and I'm afraid there are many more ahead. Still no offers on the townhome and there is a very good possibility we may loose one of the houses if our status doesn't change in the next few weeks. Right now we are just praying everyday that God will provide for us and Juan will find another job quickly.

Friday - ccrd had a Night at the Ballpark to watch the Rough-Rider's baseball game. Maddie enjoyed all of the kids scampering about. It was nice to see everyone and visit with the families.

Saturday - We had to cancel our desk but the chairs we had taken with us, so we used them to stage this photo to include in Maddie's 1 year birthday invitation.

Thanks for visiting!
