Let's Scrap, Getting Cricky, Apron Strings, Frosted Design Layout

Happy Sunny Saturday!  At least it's sunny here in Dallas!  I finished another Spain - Barcelona Cathedral layout last night.

Here is my layout:

I started with a Frosted Designs - Sketch Along Tuesdays - 3-22 Sketch #11 Challenge sketch.  I used the same sketch for both sides and mirrored one side.  Here is the sketch:

I combined this with the Let's Scrap - Scrap Our Stash - Challenge 3.  This challenge is:
1. First you have to pull out and dust off your least used machine that will cut paper using dies or cartridges. It can be a Cricut, cuttlebug, Big Shot, Silhouette, Big Kick, Qk squeeze, Robo Craft, Wish Blade or any other machine I may have missed. Using this machine make at least 3 different embellishments for your layout or cards. If you use it for your title only count that as one thing.

2. Do some type of embossing on your project. This can be heat embossing, or it can be done with a embossing folder or you can even use a stylus and template.

3. Use ink some where on your layout. Tt can be to ink the edges of your embellishments, with a stamp or any other way you can put your ink to use.

I used my quickutz for the wave strip at the bottom, the photo corners, the License Plate Alphabet set for the Details title, and the sign!  I used my new Spellbinders Grand Calibur and the Labels Seventeen set for the the orange journalling blocks.  These also are embossed and inked around the edges.  I also stamped the Barcelona Cathedral title in the sign.  See my detailed photos below.

Also, I used the K Andrew's Simply Sunday Challenge at Getting Cricky - Simply Sunday Challenge - Pack Your Bags.  This challenge is to create any project that gives meaning to Pack Your Bags! Vacation, travel, etc--how you interpret this is up to you! It can be any project (treat box, card, layout, tag, etc) using any materials.

I of course, used the travel theme as my entire layout is based around our travel trip - honeymoom to SPAIN!

Finally, I used the Apron Strings - Birthday Party Day #19 challenge to create a layout using multiple photos - more than six and none more than 4x6 in size.

I love all of these blogs and their challenges are awesome!  There is also great examples on each blog.  I visit these blogs almost daily and highly recommend them!  So go over and play along.

Here are a couple of detailed shots of my layout:

Materials Used:  paper - unknown from my stash; quickutz - wavy lines, sign, and license plate alphabet; Spellbinders - Labels Seventeen; ink - Luminarte cinnamon and CTMH black; stickles - black soot and lime green; sentiment stickers - K&Company; stamps - CTMH tiny typewriter alphabet.

Thanks so much for visiting me!
