Seal of Approval Layout!

Afternoon to all my blogging friends! I hope you are having a creative weekend.  I spent the morning cleaning up my mess of a scrap space; but this afternoon I have been creating! There were so many challenges this week that I wanted to join in for, so I decided to combine a few for this layout.

Here is my layout:

This is another layout from our California trip.  The Sea Lions at Pier 39!

For the left side of the layout I used the "StuckOnUSketches" March 18 Challenge.  Isn't this sketch adorable?  I instantly knew it would be perfect for my little Cricut cut Seal.  Funny thing, I was going to do my seal page layout last weekend but when I went to www.cricutsearch.com and saw this adorable little seal on Animal Kingdom and realized that I didn't have it, I had to order it.  LOL!  Here is the sketch:

For the right side, I used a sketch from "Sketchy Thursdays" 3.17 Sketch Challenge.  It seemed to be perfect for the Pier 39 brochure with all the Sea Lion information.  I also liked how all the photos were lined up!  Here is the sketch:
I also used the new Color Palette from "The Color Room" His Room Palette #50. The Color Palette is celebrating their 50th Color palette this week by having a blog hop.  Head over and check out all the fun!  I loved this palette and it just worked beautifully for my Sea Lion layout.  Here is the pallete:

Finally, is joined in for the Apron Strings: Birthday Party Day #11.  The Day 11 Challenge was to create a layout using 6 or more photos!  This challenge was right up my alley, and I used 7 on this layout!  Apron Strings are celebrating their Birthday by having daily challenges that are super fun!

Here are a few detailed shots of my layout:

I didn't have the right color of chipboard letters, so I inked them and then rubbed off some of the ink so that the light blue of the original letter shown through.

Materials used:  paper - CTMH, Bazzil, and unknown super old stuff from like 10 years ago; cricut cartridges - Animal Kingdom & Alphalicious; brad - unknown; stamp journal - 7gypsies; rub-ons - 7gypsies; photo frame - quickutz; chipboard letters - heidi swapp; ink - CTMH denim & Luminarte pewter; ticket - unknown.

Thanks so much for visiting! I love my blogging friends.  I hope you check out these fun challenge blogsites and play along.  Have a wonderful weekend!

Cute, cute layout. Love the seals and the title. I adore titles that play off the theme like that - too bad I am rarely able to do it myself! Thanks for playing along over at Apron Strings, I hope to see more of your pieces over that. Congrats on incorporating so many challenges into your layout!
