Project Life - Week 31

Welcome to Project Life 2015! If you are new to my blog, welcome! I hope you will stay a while. I'm Jessica, wife to Juan, mommy to 3 year old Maddie. I am also an electrical engineer by day and I am participating in Project Life, a different way to record our lives by taking one photo a day. This was inspired by the fabulous Becky Higgins.

I am using a digital kit on Shutterfly. This digital version is SUPER easy to use! See my completed pages for 2012 using the Shutterfly - Project Life Turquoise Edition HERE and my 2013 album using the Shutterfly - Project Life Childhood - Mayfield Edition HERE I will hopefully be posting my 2014 pages soon.

And finally, my POTW (pictures of the week) -

Friday - Nana came over tonight to help us with the Dinoculars for Maddie's birthday party. We cut 4" tubes and covered the ends with brown washi tape. Then we wrapped them with cardstock. We used double sided tape to adhere cardstock and adhere the two tubes together. We used a Crop O Dile to punch holes for the ribbon and used ribbon to make the neck strap. Unfortunately the next day all the cardstock came off. The double stick wasn't strong enough. I tried everything and finally used a combination of tape and Elmer's glue to get them to adhere. We also worked on making the bones. Yet another failure. We tried multiple times and every time the bones broke using the Plaster of Paris. So far all of our creations have been epic failures.

Saturday - Today was Eme's 4th birthday at Canyon Creek Country Club. It was a great little place that had a splash area, a shallow pool and a big pool with a slide. Maddie loved it and swam the entire time. There were even glitter tattoos for the kids. Maddie got a mermaid. Her and Noel played together quite a bit. At the end of the party, Maddie even jumped into the deep pool into my arms. She did it multiple times and even pushed me away to turn around underwater and swim back to the edge. She is becoming quite the little fish!

Sunday - I made a practice dinosaur ice block for Maddie to break open today. She loved using the hammer and breaking out the dinosaur. It was a little dangerous as there were pieces of ice flying all over. We definitely need something to block flying ice and keep everyone safe. Also today, Maddie and I had our own dinosaur photo shoot. We surrounded Maddie with all her dinosaurs and took pictures for her invitation. I think the invitation turned out pretty cute!

Tuesday - Today was Maddie's Little Critter Camp at the Arboretum. It is a three day camp from 9am - noon. It was another fun camp that Maddie said she loved! She seems to be having a lot of fun at all these camps.

Wednesday - Today was Maddie's last day of Little Critter Camp. She made this awesome painting with dye and watercolors. She was very proud of it.

Thanks for visiting!
