Project Life - Week 41

Welcome to Project Life 2014! If you are new to my blog, welcome! I hope you will stay a while. I'm Jessica, wife to Juan, mommy to 2 year old Maddie. I am also an electrical engineer by day and I am participating in Project Life, a different way to record our lives by taking one photo a day. This was inspired by the fabulous Becky Higgins who has put together a wonderful kit to make this challenge easier.

I am using the digital kit on shutterfly. This digital version is SUPER easy to use! See my completed pages for 2012 using the Shutterfly Cobalt kit HERE. I will hopefully be posting my 2013 pages soon.

And finally, my POTW (pictures of the week) -

Thursday - At school, they are learning about their neighborhood. They made mail sack carriers, wrote a letter and then mailed it home. How cute are they all with their mail sacks?

Saturday - We went to Celina's Big Orange Pumpkin Patch today. Little did we know it would be FREEZING! Thankfully Maddie had a long sleeved shirt, but I only had shorts and short sleeves. She still enjoyed feeding the cows, steers and goats and riding the train, but it was too cold to do too much. We had a quick hotdog and then ran through the hay maze. Maddie took off running once we entered and we completely lost her. Unbeknownst to us, she found the exit and was running clear across the yard. Thankfully she realized we weren't behind her and came back in through the exit. She is FAST!

Sunday - After church we let Maddie play on the playground for a little while. We didn't realize she was climnbing the rope teepee. She got all the way to the top by herself and then slipped and fell. Amazingly, before Juan could get to her, she grabbed a rope on the way down and caught herself. My heart completely stopped in my chest. She got right back on and climbed to the top again!

Monday - Maddie still loves gymnastics, although she sits on the wall in "time out" almost as much as she spends in the class. She does great when the coach is focused on her, but if he isn't, she gets very distracted, along with a couple of the boys in her class. She is really improving and still enjoys it, even if she had to sit on the wall so much.
