Project Life - Week 24

Welcome to Project Life 2013! If you are new to my blog, welcome! I hope you will stay a while. I'm Jessica, wife to Juan, mommy to 1 year old Maddie. I am also an electrical engineer by day and I am participating in Project Life, a different way to record our lives by taking one photo a day. This was inspired by the fabulous Becky Higgins who has put together a wonderful kit to make this challenge easier.

I am using the digital kit on shutterfly (hopefully Olive once it has been released), find more info at http://www.beckyhiggins.com/blog. This digital version uses Shutterfly and is SUPER easy to use! See my completed pages for 2012 using the Shutterfly Cobalt kit HERE.

And finally, my POTW (pictures of the week):

Tuesday - I finally got out the sidewalk chalk today for Maddie. She was very excited for about 30 seconds, then she just wanted to run around the front yard with every piece of chalk in her hands, silly girl.

Wednesday - Daddy let Maddie up on the window seat yesterday to walk around, aka run back and forth. Maddie thought it was great fun, but Mommy knew instantly it was a bad idea. Today Abuelita found Maddie like this on the window seat. Yep, it took her less than 24 hours to figure out how to climb up there by herself. It also explains why both windows were unlocked this morning.

Saturday - Another packed full day! This morning we met some of the other 2017 neighborhood Kindergarten class at the Perot museum. A couple of us are members, so we went during the early "members only" hours so it wouldn't be quite as crowded. Maddie, Craigton, Max, and Henry had a great time exploring the children's area. It is so great for them to get to know each other now. I just LOVE our neighborhood. This afternoon we took Maddie to the Campbell Green Spray Park in Dallas. She LOVED it! She played for over an hour until we had to drag her away kicking and screaming. It was packed, but she loved the water and wasn't afraid to let it spray in her face at all, eliciting lots of screams. Definitely something we will be doing again! See the video here.

Sunday - Today is Father's Day. We gave Juan a bluetooth speaker for his office so he can hear his music. We also gave him some chocolates, which Maddie opened before Juan even had a chance to read the card. This afternoon we blew up Maddie's little kiddy pool and let her swim. She loves water and again we had to drag her kicking and screaming out when it was nap time. Can't wait for her swimming classes to start next week! Happy Father's Day to the best Daddy in the whole world! We love you Juan!

Monday - We picked another cucumber and a HUGE squash from our garden today. Can't wait to taste these guys!

Thanks for visiting!
