Project Life - Week 23

Welcome to Project Life 2013! If you are new to my blog, welcome! I hope you will stay a while. I'm Jessica, wife to Juan, mommy to 1 year old Maddie. I am also an electrical engineer by day and I am participating in Project Life, a different way to record our lives by taking one photo a day. This was inspired by the fabulous Becky Higgins who has put together a wonderful kit to make this challenge easier.

I am using the digital kit on shutterfly (hopefully Olive once it has been released), find more info at http://www.beckyhiggins.com/blog. This digital version uses Shutterfly and is SUPER easy to use! See my completed pages for 2012 using the Shutterfly Cobalt kit HERE.

And finally, my POTW (pictures of the week):

Tuesday - Maddie is so good with puzzles. I think it is time to get her some more difficult ones.  She started counting to three this week. She's been counting: one - two for sometime, but the three seemed to catch her up. She actually says "ree", but it is close enough.

Wednesday - I gave Maddie cherrio's for breakfast this morning. It was the first time we gave her cereal with milk. She even used a spoon - fairly well.

Thursday - A shopping trip to Central Market is not complete without the balloon and lots of fruit samples. Today she decided to just eat the grapes directly out of the bag while Mama wasn't watching. She is definitely a lover of Fruit!

Friday - I got out Maddie's Hello Kitty chair today that Aunt Shanney gave her. She loved it, but then decided it was more fun to sit in upside down. She is in her jammies, but wanted her sleeveless jean jacket on....not sure why.

Juan found out this week that he has shingles.  He has these very painful blisters on this back and on his inner thigh. He is on medication and waiting out the pain to see if it gets better or continues to get worse. We are praying for the better option.

Saturday - Today we went to Dinosaur Valley and Fossil Rim. Dinosaur valley was not too impressive, but Maddie had a BALL in the river. At first, Daddy didn't want her to get wet, but it wasn't long before he gave in and they were both wading together. It wasn't long after that before a couple of falls created one soaking wet little girl. The water was chilly, but she was having too much fun too drag her out. Then we headed to fossil rim. Maddie thoroughly enjoyed feeding the animals, although she tried to throw the food at them and most of it ended up back in the car or on our laps. It was a long, exhausting, fun day.

Sunday - Angie and Kayla came down to go to Great Wolf lodge with a friend of hers. We met up with them today and got a day pass for the water park. Maddie spent all morning in the children's pool and had a blast. She fell under a couple of times, but just jumped right back up and started splashing again. It is definitely time to get her in some swim classes. After swimming, Maddie and Kayla colored, had lunch and climbed all over the animal displays. It was another super fun, yet exhausting day.

Monday - Daddy was putting together a little step stool for Maddie to use at the sink to wash her hands and Maddie was right there "helping".  She put all of the screws into the little holes for him. She is definitely going to be a "fixer".

Thanks for visiting!
