We are gearing up for the 4th of July holiday. I traveled to Oklahoma City today for work, but was lucky enough to catch an early flight home. I had time to make dinner and finish these layouts. I also realized that I left my Ipad in the rental car.....great!
These are layouts from little miss's 1st Christmas in 2011. Wow, that seems like such a long time ago. Her 1st Christmas tree and lights....don't worry, the lights are LED - not hot at all. These are pretty basic layouts, but they are done so I'm just going to move on.
For the left side I used Sketch #33 from My Scraps & More. Here is the left side and the sketch:
I am also linking up with The Memory Nest Whimsical Wednesday, to share a creation.

For the right side, I used sketch #34 also from My Scraps & More. Here is the right side and the sketch:
For the right side, I also played along with Colorful Creations - Use Your Stash -July. This challenge is to use FOUR of the same embellishment, FOUR patterned papers, and FOUR cut out (die cut or hand cut) embellishments. You are allowed to use more than Four, but four is the minimum. I used 6 pattern papers, four of the same embellishment (chipboard stars) and 6 die-cut light bulbs for the banner in the upper right corner.
For the title, I played along with Rochelle Spears' Scrappy Friends - July Challenge. This month her challenge is to pick a song title from this list of Songs Recorded by Celine Dion and use it on your layout as your title, subtitle or in your journaling. I chose the song "Love Lights up the World" and used it as my title for the page.
Here are a couple of close-ups:
Materials used: paper - MME, and multiple unknown scraps; chipboard - Basic Grey and Heidi Swapp; stickers - MME; journaling block - MME; stamp - CTMH; ink - CTMH; rub-on - Making Memories; sticker letters - Thickers and Authentique; dimensional sticker - Recollections; washi tape - MME; brads - MME.
Thanks for visiting!

Wow. Great layouts and use of the sketches. Love all the little details you added. The lights are great. I really like how the pages match but are really their own. Would love for you to share them on Whimsical Wednesday. www.thememorynest.blogspot.com
