Well, I wouldn't say I'm getting a ton done, but this is layout #6 & 7 at my weekend crop. This layout is the first time that my bestie, Shannon, met Maddie. We headed to the Arboretum to the Pumpkin Patch.
This layout was completed for the Let's Scrap challenge #156. The challenge was to use this photo as inspiration, a Let's Scrap Sketch, and journal. I took lots of inspiration from the photo. I tree lined walk reminded me of the Dallas Arboretum, so those are the pictures that I scrapped. I used the layering of my papers to mimic the layers of blossoms. I also created a center element and added black to mimic the path with centralized trees. I even added a floral motif to my layout. The black pattern paper is actually flowers, the main die-cut also has flowers on it, the green ribbon roses, and the cream floral ribbon all add to the floral motif.
I used this sketch from Let's Scrap 9-5-12:
I also played along with Apron Strings - Love Your Stash Challenge #15, round up some of whatever papers you collect too much of and use them. I have WAY too many pattern papers in general and specifically large die-cut papers. I used these KaiserCraft papers.
Here are a couple of close-up photos:
Materials used: KaiserCraft; stickers - KaiserCraft; ribbon roses - KaiserCraft; misc ribbon - unknown; popdots - All Night Media; stamp - CTMH (Comments); ink - CTMH; paper clips - BasicGrey; date sticker - MME.
Thanks for visiting! Off to create another!!!!
