Welcome to Project Life 2012! If you are new to my blog, welcome! I hope you will stay a while. I'm Jessica, wife to Juan, mommy to new baby Maddie. I am also an electrical engineer by day and I am participating in Project Life, a different way to record our lives by taking one photo a day. This was inspired by the fabulous Becky Higgins who has put together a wonderful kit to make this challenge easier.
I am using the digital Cobalt kit, find it at http://www.beckyhiggins.com/blog/2011/10/new-product-has-arrived/ This digital version uses Shutterfly and is SUPER easy to use! See my completed pages for 2012 at http://scraplifterdesigns.blogspot.com/p/project-life-layouts.html
Each Monday/Tuesday, I will post my pictures/journaling from the previous week. Project Life Tuesday was created by Jessica Turner over at The Mom Creative and Project 366 Rewind is hosted by Sarah at Naptime Momtog and Gina at Chic Homeschool Mama. They both host a linky for readers to link up their pictures. So if you want to join in or want to see others POTW, just click the buttons at the bottom of this post.
And finally, my POTW (pictures of the week):
Sunday - Juan add some more Elfa shelving in my scrap room today. We also headed out to the Farmer's Market to pick up a couple more pumpkins! I love this picture of Juan and Maddie in front of downtown Dallas. We also decorated our front tree with our scarecrow, hay and pumpkins. Maddie loved it and wanted to play out there for hours.
Monday - Juan has been taking Maddie on morning walks around the neighborhood, so her stroller was in the house. Our little monkey couldn't resist climbing on it! It was a beautiful afternoon, so we sat on the patio and had dinner at Matito's. Maddie loves lemon and sucked on this one the entire time.
Wednesday - No, this isn't a horse. It is Maddie's learning toy; but apparently all she is learning to do is climb on top of it. I definitely see broken bones in our future.
Thursday - We've moved all of the chemicals and cleaning supplies up out of the lower cabinets. As a result, there is nothing but toilet paper and klenexes in our bathroom cabinet. Maddie has figured out how to not just crawl into the cabinet, but all the way through it from one side to the other, we have dual sinks in our bathroom. This is how he found her!
Friday - Maddie and Juan took me to lunch today at Grimaldi's. Maddie loves food. She loved the salad, the red peppers, the mushrooms, tomatoes, onions, and the pizzza! We always get the sausage, pepperoni, mushroom pizza, delish! She also loved the pizza crust. I'm so glad we can still take her out in public to eat with us. She is such a good baby!
Saturday - Lots of firsts for Maddie today. 1st time to the Texas State Fair. She loved the midway. We let her play the "pick a duck, win a prize" game. I don't think she realized it was a game or that Mommy and Daddy had to pay; but she really enjoyed all of the ducks in the water and picking them up! Since she is 31" she was just tall enough for the kiddy fish ride. She wasn't quite sure what was going on at first, but then had a blast. She had her first salt water taffy and first corney dog....both of which she loved! We even let her taste her first Dippin Dots (ice cream). She was very tentative of those little balls, but once they were gone, she signed the word for "more" over and over. That is what she is doing in the last picture with Juan. We were only there for about 3 hours, but it wore her out. She was out before we even made it back to the car! Great day at the Fair!
