Project Life 2012 - Week 9

Welcome to Project Life 2012! If you are new to my blog, welcome! I hope you will stay a while. I'm Jessica, wife to Juan, mommy to new baby Maddie. I am also an electrical engineer by day and I am participating in Project Life, a different way to record our lives by taking one photo a day. This was inspired by the fabulous Becky Higgins who has put together a wonderful kit to make this challenge easier.

I am using the digital Cobalt kit, find it at http://www.beckyhiggins.com/blog/2011/10/new-product-has-arrived/ This digital version uses Shutterfly and is SUPER easy to use! See my completed pages for 2012 at http://scraplifterdesigns.blogspot.com/p/project-life-layouts.html

Each Monday/Tuesday, I will post my pictures/journaling from the previous week. Project Life Tuesday was created by Jessica Turner over at The Mom Creative and Project 366 Rewind is hosted by Sarah at Naptime Momtog and Gina at Chic Homeschool Mama. They both host a linky for readers to link up their pictures. So if you want to join in or want to see others POTW, just click the buttons at the bottom of this post.

And finally, my POTW (pictures of the week):

Sunday - Spring is here! We took advantage of the beautiful day and took Maddie to the Arboretum. The tulips are almost blooming and the trees and shrubs all have baby buds. I can't wait for full on Spring to arrive!

Monday - Typical sight around our kitchen right now.  Maddie's cup and spoons for feeding. She is still doing awesome with solids, carrots and squash have both been met with delight.

Tuesday - Juan bought Maddie this huge hat right after she was born. He calls her his little Ewok, and she doesn't seem to mind the hat.

Wednesday - You know you are in the airport too late when the security line is completely closed. Nothing like spending Leap Day traveling for 16 hours! I was up at 5am this morning for a flight to Oklahoma City to survey OUMC for a new expansion. After delays and airport issues, we didn't land back in Dallas until 10:30pm. Talk about a long and exhausting day.

Thursday - Gas is at an all time high price for this time of the year. It is anticipated that it will be well over $4.00 this summer. Yet another reason I'm bummed that we had to trade in my civic.  The CRV only gets 23 miles in town and 31 on the highway.

Friday - Juan surprised me this afternoon with my "push" present.  It's a ring with Maddie's birthstone, Sapphire. Not the best photo of it, but it is off being sized now.  How sweet is my hubby?

Saturday - Daddy took Maddie to the Fort Worth botannical gardens to give Mommy a break. Both seem to have had a good time and Maddie just loves being outside.

Thanks for visiting me this week! I hope your week is fabulous!

Love that little hat. Your daughter is so cute. Those look like really cool feeding spoons and cup too.
