Welcome to Project Life 2015! If you are new to my blog, welcome! I hope you will stay a while. I'm Jessica, wife to Juan, mommy to 3 year old Maddie. I am also an electrical engineer by day and I am participating in Project Life, a different way to record our lives by taking one photo a day. This was inspired by the fabulous Becky Higgins.
I am using a digital kit on Shutterfly. This digital version is SUPER easy to use! See my completed pages for 2012 using the Shutterfly - Project Life Turquoise Edition HERE and my 2013 album using the Shutterfly - Project Life Childhood - Mayfield Edition HERE I will hopefully be posting my 2014 pages soon.
And finally, my POTW (pictures of the week) -
Thursday - Maddie's last day of swimming class was today. SHE DID AMAZING! Suddenly it just clicked. She realized that she could go underwater and see toys and blow bubbles. It helped that I brought her spin toothbrush - which she has been begging for for weeks now. I told her if she could swim to the edge, she could have it. She tried so hard to jump towards Mrs. Jordan and "push off" but never really figured out how to get her feet behind her and on top of the water. She did swim underwater multiple times to Mrs. Jordan and her assistant. She kept asking to do it again and again. I was sooooo proud of her. It was like a switch literally switched on for her. She was even going underwater by herself while she was waiting her turn on the step. Her fear of going under is completely gone. If she had one more week of class with Mrs. Jordan, I am sure she would be swimming completely. I am quite amazed! Great job Maddie!
Saturday - Today was Kayla's 4th birthday party. We drove to Tulsa early this morning. The girls were excited to see each other - as Angie and I were. Kayla had lots of fun games at her "rainbow" party including a coloring bag station. The kids had the most fun with the pool noodles and balloons. They were supposed to use the noodles to hit the balloons into a laundry bucket, but after that they quickly determined they could hit each other with them and have much more fun. I'm pretty sure that Juan instigated that. Maddie and Kayla in particular were smacking each other and Juan and Kent as hard as possible. Of course, Juan and Kent were giving as good as they were getting. It was quite hilarious! I just love to watch Maddie and Kayla together. It makes my heart melt everytime I see them together. When Kayla was opening her presents she opened the card from Maddie and sort of threw it until I said that Maddie made it for her and then she picked it up, looked at it and ran to give Maddie a hug. It was the sweetest thing EVER! Happy Birthday Kayla girl!
Monday - Maddie made herself a bubble wrap shirt today when Daddy came home from lunch and Daddy took a picture to send me. She is so creative.
Tuesday - Dinner tonight at Babe's and Maddie wanted to sit in the saddle as we waiting for our table! Yummy dinner!
Thanks for visiting!
