Another page complete. I played along with Paper Issues A Nashville Christmas Carol challenge. I also played along with BYSS December Stash Dash. This was day 16 use a Gnome. I used a kit from Lickety Split Scrapbooks.
I began this blog to document my POTD (picture of the day) for our Project Life album in 2010. In Sept. 2011 I had our first baby and I plan for her to have the most documented life possible. I have continued each year with Project Life, but also have expanded my blog to include layouts and other creations. Life has gotten busy, so I don't post as often as I used to, but am still determined to try. I would love to have you join me on our journey! Thank you for visiting!

New Layout - Gingerbread House (248-249)

I used the color scheme, mixing many patterened papers, I created a Christmas layout, adding elements like candy, candy canes, I used an older date stamp, I used not two but 5 different alphabets for my titles, I used enamel dots (similar to nuvo drops), and I used a speech bubble tag for the photo description on the right.
I also played along with Paper Issues Dec. challenge The Christmas House and scrapped our gingerbread house making annual tradition.

New Layout - Quarantine XMAS (246-247)
Merry Everything!
It's been a crazy couple of weeks, but I am FINALLY ready to relax and enjoy this season with my family. BTW that means a lot of scrapping - I hope. This is the only layout I've done recently and I am way short of my 365 page goals this year, but my number of 247 isn't all that bad......considering the year.
This is from last year our tradition of our elf bringing our family PJs on XMAS eve. This year he event brought our puppies sweaters!
I created this layout for CSI casefile 376
I took inspriation from the scene, using words like the framed words. For my evidence, I used all the colors, plaid, wood grain year stickers, I framed my photos using a black marker, I used Christmas themed elements including poinsetta and christmas patterned papers, my photos are of dogs, I included metal words, arrows, a calendar date card, and a chalkboard element for my Quarantined title. For my testimony I documented something about Christmas and framed my journaling. I even included a letter from our Elf, Rufus.
I also played along with Paper Issues Dec challenge The Christmas Bow.

New Layouts - Grandma and COVID Walks (237-238)
Happy Sunday!
I'm sharing a couple of layouts I completed this weekend. The first is of our painted plywood characters that Juan put out in the yard in different places everyday when COVID started to amuse the children walking with their families on their daily walks. I used a sketch from Sketch N Scrap #236 and played along with Paper Issues My Momma's Recipe challenge. This challenge was harder than I thought as there were a lot of components: On your project you must include: 1 doily, 2 photos, 4 papers, 2 alphas, 4 word title, 5 pieces of ephemera, 3 stickers and 2 tags. I used the PinkFresh Let's Stay Home line and tags from Elle's Studio. The alphas are PinkFresh and Altenew. Finally, I was inspired by the BYSS Motivate Me list for "World Kidness Day". This wasn't on the actual day, but inspired me to scrap this neighborhood kindenss activity during COVID.
Here is the sketch I used:
For my second layout I scrapped our social distance outdoor visit with my Grandma during COVID. Unfortunately this was the last visit she was able to make due to COVID. By the time her Assisted Living facility reopened, she had a stroke and has been bedridden and paralized. I'm so thankful we had this afternoon and were able to get these photos of her. I played along with Paper Issues sketch for the week and again used PinkFresh Let's Stay Home line. I used 3 different stencils and 4 colors of distressed oxides: Tea Dye, Victorian Velvet, Tubmled Glass, and Blueprint sketch. I added multiple stamps from CTMH and a tag from Elle's Studio. Finally, I was inspired by BYSS Motivate Me list "We Are Family" to create this layout.
Here is the sketch:

Happy Friday!
I've finished a couple more layouts this week!
The first is a layout I completed of DD at the Girl Scout STEM center Space camp. I used the Bella Blvd To the Moon line, Elle's Studio tags, and lots of different alpha/thickers. I played along with the Paper Issues challenge Taco Tuesday where the challenge was to use a folding technique. I folded my background to use both sides of the patterned paper.
For my second layout I used a kit from Out On A Limb. I added a journaling block and a few other embellishments from my stash.
For my third layout I used a kit from Go To Treasure Box. I added misc ephemera from my stash and a title from Paper Wizard. I played along with Paper Issues Couch Potato challenge. I was inspired by Potato to scrap my daughters Thanksgiving Feast day at school.

New Layout - Back to School Bash and Bday (224-227)
My bestie is here this weekend and I've been scrapping my heart away. A couple more layouts to share!
The first one was a page kit by Nellie's Scrapbook Kits.
This layout used Reminisce Be Kind line.
New Layout - My Gnomies (222-223)
Happy weekend to all:
I created this layout of my extended families visit for CSI Case File #373. Believe it or not, I got 17 pictures on this layout with the flip flap mini album on the right.
To solve the case I used basically all the colors, except my burgandy is more red, but I've got the light turquoise, golden yellow, pale pale pink, and leaf green. My architectural element is a flip flap book on the right with more photos - like a stair. I used floral pattern papers, lots of flowers/plants/and flowerpots. There is some gold on the "oh happy day" tag, the "this is the good stuff tag" and the snail. I used a frame for my journaling. I used circles behind my title, a ring as an embellishment on the lower right corner, and the sunshine. I used string as ties to the tags. For the annimals, I used bees and a snail. I used gnomes for my fuzzy/furry things. For my transparent item, I used flip flaps. Finally, for my testimony I documented our extended family bbq at our hime. I was inspired by the word home and comfort.
New Layout - Hold my Hand (221)
Happy weekend to all:
I created this layout of DD and her holding her daddy's hand for CSI Case File #372. These pictures melt my heart.
To solve the case I used basically all the color, except my cream was a bit more on the gold side. I used tile letters, I created shelves to hold things, like the banners and the title/date. I used heart puffy stickers. I documented something about a child, and used the inspriation word "kid". I was also inspired by things in the sky. I didn't use stars, but used clouds, rain, and rainbows. I also was inspired by the child clapping and used the "Yay". Finally, I was inspired by the wall paper and setup my background paper as wall paper and then stacked paper strips, just like the pillows are stacked on the couch.
New Layout - Study Buddies (220)
Happy weekend to all:
I created this layout of DD and her COVID puppies for CSI Case File #374. Her study buddies kept her on track during those long virtual school days.
To solve the case I used basically all the colors. I used older Simple Stories paper. I used multiple fonts and colors like the scene. I used wood grain and the animals puppies in the photos. I made tags and tied string to make tassels on the tags. I used really old alphabe stickers. I used stamps for the 2020 date. I used a patchwork background and piled a bunch of similar circle sticker embellishments. I stacked papers along with my photos in the middle/bottom. I also tied a know in the string to replicate the twists in the fibers on the scene.
