LOAD #11 - Thank You Card

I'm participating in the LOAD (LayOut A Day) challenge over at Let's Scrap. This is #11, a Thank You card I created for World Card Making Day this past weekend. I played along with the sketch from Pamela's World of Scrap, she is hosting an awesome prize. I needed to make Thank You cards for the gifts Maddie received on her birthday, so I actually created 20 of these cards!

I also am playing along with challenge #6 at Let's Capture the Sketches for World Card Making Day. The challenge is "Make it Shiny". I used bling to add a bit of shine!

My Hubby's Thank You Card

My husband attended my baby showers with me on the premise of being the "photographer" (I think he just really wanted to be involved, LOL)  It was very sweet and he did a great job of getting photos.  My sister had a gift specifically for him at the shower.  It was the most adorable pink Puma outfits!  My hubby is a PUMA nut and is the literal poster child for that brand.  He was so excited and quickly let me know that this was his favorite gift out of everything we received.

He wanted to send my sister a separate thank you card and raided my scrapbook loft to make it.  It turned out really nice and he had fun making it.  He wanted to use everything he saw in my room, LOL!  I was perfectly happy to let him.

2nd Anniversary!

Today is our 2nd Wedding Anniversary!  I can't believe it has been two years.  Our wedding day was truly the most wonderful day of my life.  Juan is my partner, my best friend, and my sole-mate.  I can't imagine life without him.

I thought this special occasions called for a special card.  I've been making a lot of cards from card kits lately and I thought this card should be my own creation.  Let's Scrap has a fabulous card sketch this week 3-16-11 that inspired me!

Happy Vday - Valentine's Day Card Creations

Happy Valentine's Day!!!!!  My friend Shannon sent me a Valentine's Card kit and I had a  blast creating them and adding my own little touches.  Ink, brads, stickles, ribbon.  I think they turned out pretty cute!

Halloween Cards

Here are some cards I made for Halloween.  They came from the We R Memory Keepers card kit Heebie Jeebies; but I jazzed them up the Jessica way with stickles, bling, pop dots, ink, etc.

Misc. Cards

Here are some more cards I made during the CKC convention.  They are made with kits, We R Memory Keepers and another which I don't remember the name of.  I used flowers, ribbon, ink, pop dots and stickles to jazz them up.

Wedding Card

Here is a wedding card I made for the wedding of our friends' Denise and Kettering.  It has a pocket inside. 

Baby Cards

I made two baby cards today.  One for my sister's shower, she is having a girl and a second one for my friend Danna, who had a little boy.  I cardlifted the idea from the splitcoast stampers website. 

Materials:  Life's a Jungle stamp set (CTMH), Accent Essentials, Stamping, and New Arrival cricut cartridges, border punch (EK Success), heart punch, pearls, baby rickrack, watercolor pencils, grey wool ink pad (CTMH), pop dots, and stickles.

Thanks you, Bday and Get well Cards

This past weekend I made 3 cards: a get well card for Prinscella, a thank you card for Angie, and a birthday card for Sarah.  I forgot to take a photo of the get well card before Juan took it to Prinscella, but here are the other two.

Anniversary Card

This card I made for my husband for our 1st year anniversary.  I wrote all of the reasons I love him on the little tags. 

Birthday Cards

I seemed to have a whole bunch of birthdays coming up, so I created about a dozen birthday cards a couple of weeks ago.  I used a Close to my heart kit and then jazzed them up a bit with stickles, pop-dots, ribbon, staples, etc.

02.14.10 Great Love Day

Today is Valentine's Day. I am sort of a sucker for all the romantic mumbo jumbo that accompanies this day. I never thought I would find someone to celebrate this day with each year, but I have. Juan tried to get us dinner reservations last night, but we had waited to long. Today he brought me beautiful white tulips and pink roses in addition to yummy chocolates. He does know what I like!  He is also making me a romantic dinner tonight...am I lucky or what? I have realized that we do a pretty good job of celebrating our love everyday. Maybe that's because we are still newlywed and maybe it's that it is just the two of us, but I am blessed. I sure do love my husband!

I made Juan a coupon book for Valentine's Day. It was filled with coupons for all his favorite activities, as well as a few photos of the two of us.
