Project Life - Week 43

Welcome to Project Life 2014! If you are new to my blog, welcome! I hope you will stay a while. I'm Jessica, wife to Juan, mommy to 2 year old Maddie. I am also an electrical engineer by day and I am participating in Project Life, a different way to record our lives by taking one photo a day. This was inspired by the fabulous Becky Higgins who has put together a wonderful kit to make this challenge easier.

I am using the digital kit on shutterfly. This digital version is SUPER easy to use! See my completed pages for 2012 using the Shutterfly Cobalt kit HERE. I will hopefully be posting my 2013 pages soon.

And finally, my POTW (pictures of the week) -

Saturday - We went this morning to get Maddie's photos taken in her Halloween costume. This year she was a dragon and very excited about it. We had Halloween cards made and sent out to a few close family and friends. This afternoon was the Fall Festival at Moss Haven Elementary. We attended with our neighbors, the Wideman's. Their son, Henry, and Maddie are good friends. The festival was a fund raiser for the school. They had huge slides and all sorts of activities for the kids. Maddie LOVED the HUGE slides and immediately scaled the huge ladder up, slid down and ran around to go again! She didn't even pause - no fear that girl! She also wanted to become a human hamster and Daddy and Henry pushed her down the aisle and back as she flipped over and over. Every time the entrance hole hit the bottom of the aisle, she fell out. She was just a bit too small, but loved every minute of it.

Sunday - Another afternoon spent at Nana's with Ashlyn, Jakob, and Aunt Vanessa. Nana gave the kiddos popsicles, of course! Mom lost her big tree in the last storm, but the kids still had a blast playing outside. Then they all played go-fish with Aunt Vanessa. Maddie had begun to LOVE games, although most of the rules still allude her.

Monday - We met Siobhan for dinner tonight at Grimaldi's Pizzaria. Maddie loves pizza and especially from this place. She also just loves seeing Siobhan! It was a great evening out on the balcony with wine and great company. Maddie ended the evening "driving" Mrs. Siobhan's car.

Tuesday - Tonight was "Goblins in the Garden" at the Dallas Arboretum. It is a members only event, but we still had to buy tickets. They had little candy/toy stations set up all through the pumpkin patch area and then a dinner of pasta and salad after. It was much smaller than we thought, with only about seven stations, so Juan had Maddie go through each station again. I was a bit mortified. Maddie really wanted to do the face painting, but after waiting about 20 minutes, Daddy was cranky and ready to eat. Since the line had not moved at all, we talked Maddie into skipping that station. It was nice to take photos of her in her costume with the pumpkins without a million people.
