Welcome to Project Life 2014! If you are new to my blog, welcome! I hope you will stay a while. I'm Jessica, wife to Juan, mommy to 2 year old Maddie. I am also an electrical engineer by day and I am participating in Project Life, a different way to record our lives by taking one photo a day. This was inspired by the fabulous Becky Higgins who has put together a wonderful kit to make this challenge easier.
I am using the digital kit on shutterfly. This digital version is SUPER easy to use! See my completed pages for 2012 using the Shutterfly Cobalt kit HERE. I will hopefully be posting my 2013 pages soon.
And finally, my POTW (pictures of the week) -
Wednesday - Our backyard is finally looking like Spring is here. Our bushes barely survived the winter and the dogs, but we are hoping they still pull out of it. Our Iris's are beginning to bloom and the garden and tomatoes are filling out. We planted herbs in the front of the raised bed and they are doing fabulous!
Friday - Uncle Kent, Aunt Angie and Kayla came to visit today. The girls had a blast playing with Maddie's bubble gun. They did pretty good at taking turns with only one or two small melt downs. We had a yummy bar-b-que and then the girls made animal crafts. After all that, they were filthy so it was off to the bath. They had a blast in the bath tub as well. They just like to be together and it melts my heart that our girls are destined to be best friends!
Saturday - Today we were off to the Arboretum and the Rory Meyers Children's Adventure Garden. Maddie and Kayla had a blast, again. They hopped on the lily pads, played in the sand, built things, ran, played in the water, shot water guns, and acted silly. When we got home, the girls painted bird houses and played in the backyard. The girls finished the evening watching "Brave" and eating popcorn!
Sunday - This morning before the Foust's had to return home, Maddie and Kayla did another craft. This time coloring 3D My Little Ponies. They are so cute together. This afternoon, after they left, we took Maddie to her first movie at Studio Movie Grille. We saw "Rio 2." Our seats weren't great and Maddie's view was blocked quite a bit. She did pretty good, although I had to take her out 2-3 times and eventually we left before the movie was over as she was ready to go. When we got to the car she decided she wanted to go back in and finish the movie. When we told her we couldn't return after we left the building, she had quite the melt down.
