I hope you had a fun and safe 4th! After the fireworks, parades, BBQ's, and pool/sun fun, I managed to finish a layout. Rather boring - that's what happens when you don't scrap for 6 months; but it is done so I am happy.
This layout is from last year at the Dallas Aquarium. Maddie loved the sharks and penguins. I played along with Let's Scrap Challenge #188, use a Let's Scrap sketch and get inky. I used sketch 2-5-14 and inked the background with navy spray and a Tim Holtz stencil. It made a huge mess and I even got it on my photos - whoops. Here is the sketch:
I also played along with Paper Issues - In the Navy. I used photos from our day at the Aquarium which had lots of navy. Then I added navy card stock and navy brads. I even journaled with a navy pen.
Finally, I played along with the Southern Girls Challenge - You Spin Me Round Baby...Right Round. This challenge is to use circles and things that are round. I used patterned paper with circles, round navy embellishments cut out of embossed cardstock with a round embossing pattern, and lots of round brads.
Materials: paper - Bazzill & WeRMemoryKeepers; ink - Mr. Huey's; stencil - Tim Holtz; die-cut flamingo - Memories of Yesterdays; circle cutter - Creative Memories; brads - unknown.
Thanks for visiting!

What a fabulous scrapbook layout. Love all the 'circular' elements to it. Sooo perfect for our 'You Spin Me Right Round - Circles' Challenge at Southern Girls. Thanks so much for entering and we hope we'll see more of your gorgeous creations in future challenges. Good luck. Hugs, Wends x SGC DT.
Thanks so much for joining us at Southern girls! It is so hard doing a double layout but I think you've nailed it! Great job!
