10.07.10 Polar Bear

After our OAC meeting at the Overland Park Regional Medical Center today we decided to head to the Kansas City Zoo.  Overall the zoo was sort of a disappointment, but they had a brand new Polar Bear exhibit.  The polar bear was named Nikita and there is room in the exhibit for three large bears and is set up for a baby.  Right now, Nikita is all alone; but hopefully soon she will have friends.  She was having a ball today diving and flipping in her pool and thrilling the children to no end.
