05.28.10 Jakob Overnight

Tonight was the first time that we babysat Jakob overnight.  We had a great time playing.  We don't have a crib so we brought over Vanessa's pack'n play for him to sleep in.    He did cry when we put him to bed, so we let him sit on the couch and watch a cartoon.  Then Juan took him back into the spare room and stayed with him until he fell asleep.  Then at about 2am the neighbor jumped his fence in the backyard and the dogs started going ballistic.  Their barking woke up Jakob; he immediately grabbed the soccer ball and started playing... we tried to put him back down but he was crying.  I finally put him on my lap and rocked him in the rocking chair for about 30 minutes and then he went back to sleep.  He woke up at about 8am happy and ready to play!
