Scraplifter Designs - PROJECT Life - 365

I began this blog to document my POTD (picture of the day) for our Project Life album in 2010. In Sept. 2011 I had our first baby and I plan for her to have the most documented life possible. I have continued each year with Project Life, but also have expanded my blog to include layouts and other creations. Life has gotten busy, so I don't post as often as I used to, but am still determined to try. I would love to have you join me on our journey! Thank you for visiting!

Project Life - Week 16

Thursday - Maddie's class had an Easter party and Easter egg hunt today. They are all so cute in their little bunny ears!

Friday - We took Maddie to her first soccer game this evening. It was the Dallas Cup at the Cotton Bowl at Fair Park. Teams from all over the world came to compete in this tournament. Maddie liked it, but got bored pretty quick, of course the hot dog and popcorn helped. Afterwards, we bought her a little soccer ball and she kicked it all over Fair Park. She was amazingly good at keeping it under control. We parked at GSR Andrade where Daddy works and she loved checking out his desk and "working".

Sunday - Look at what the Easter bunny left for Maddie! She left him carrots and he even ate them. She received all sorts of fun stickers, coloring books, games, nail polish, candy and even a kite! She was very excited! She looked adorable in her Easter dress going to church.

Monday - Maddie loves painting and was anxious to use her new Dora paint book that the Easter Bunny brought her. She is definitely artistic.

Tuesday - Today we decided to have a picnic in our backyard. The weather was beautiful and the picnic was yummy! Maddie loves picnics and was super excited for us to have one. Mommy and Daddy loved the wine. Also, this week Ascension they had a Mac & Cheese drive to help the homeless. They gathered a LOT of Mac & Cheese, 229 boxes! The class that donated the most won a pizza party and Maddie's class won with 108 boxes collected. So great to see the little ones learning about those less fortunate.

Project Life - Week 15

Welcome to Project Life 2014! If you are new to my blog, welcome! I hope you will stay a while. I'm Jessica, wife to Juan, mommy to 2 year old Maddie. I am also an electrical engineer by day and I am participating in Project Life, a different way to record our lives by taking one photo a day. This was inspired by the fabulous Becky Higgins who has put together a wonderful kit to make this challenge easier.

I am using the digital kit on shutterfly. This digital version is SUPER easy to use! See my completed pages for 2012 using the Shutterfly Cobalt kit HERE. I will hopefully be posting my 2013 pages soon.

And finally, my POTW (pictures of the week) -

Friday - We went to Nana's this evening so she could give the kiddos their Easter presents early since the kiddos will be with their father next weekend. She gave them all sorts of fun little Easter surprises including bunny sling shots and poppers. Nana bought lunch meat, cheese, and bread to make sandwiches for dinner. We made our sandwiches, took one bite and gagged. It seemed the mayo was very expired. We got quite a laugh from that and will not let her forget that one for awhile. She also filled a ton of clear eggs with glow in the dark rings, sticks, and bracelets for us to hide and the kids to find. The kiddos had a great time searching for the glow eggs in the dark.

Saturday - Today Mom, Vanessa and the kiddos came over to die Easter eggs with us. They were all three very excited and did a pretty good job. Of course, we had to do a couple of Easter egg hunts and then I had a fun little craft for them all using marshmallows. I figured that Maddie would love marshmallows, but she didn't like them at all - well except to glue them on the page!

Sunday - Maribel invited Maddie to her 3 year birthday party at ASI Gymnastics. Maddie loved ASI and had a blast jumping in the blocks, swinging in the rope and running the obstacle course. What fun! I decided after the party that it was definitely time to sign Maddie up for a class.

Project Life - Week 14

Saturday - This was the first Saturday of the month, therefore the Home Depot Kids Workshop. Maddie LOVES these and today she mad a Rio 2 Bird Feeder that we hung up in the back yard. She was so exhausted afterwards, that she didn't even eat her hotdog before she fell asleep in the car. We are still working on our garden. We got most of the new plants planted, but the vines may not have made it through the winter. We are still waiting to see if they will come out of it.

Project Life - Week 13

Sunday - Ascension invited the 2's class to sing a little song during the church service today. "This Little Light of Mine." They were so excited and worked very hard on their song, but most suddenly became shy when the song started. Maddie did remember to do the actions. They also had their Art displayed outside the sanctuary. It was all so cute! Afterwards, we headed back home and had a delicious BBQ!

Monday - Daddy built us a raised bed for our garden this year and we had to fill it with about a ton of dirt to get it raised enough. Maddie was all too willing to help "spread" the dirt out.

Tuesday - Vanessa and I went to get our photos taken today at JCPenney's for Mother's Day. We planned on getting photos of the grandkids taken, but that didn't work out and it has been years and years since the two of us have had our photos taken together. They didn't turn out too bad and I'm sure Mom will love them.
