Project Life Tuesday - Week 27

Welcome to Project Life Tuesday 2011! If you are new to my blog, welcome! I hope you will stay awhile. I'm Jessica and I am participating in Project Life, a different way to record our lives by taking one photo a day. This was inspired by the fabulous Becky Higgins who has put together a wonderful kit to make this challenge easier.
Don't worry, I'm not leaving traditional scrapbooking behind. This just gives me the opportunity to focus my scrapbooking on trips and things that are important to me right now and not get all bogged down with every birthday, dinner, and holiday that comes along.
Each Tuesday, I will post my pictures/journaling from the previous week. Saturday - Juan decided that he needed ants to crawl across the beam in our living room.  I'm not real thrilled with them, but he thinks they are "artsy"!
 

Sunday - Mom came over to help me modify our new curtains and get them hung.  Juan had to install all of the curtain rods and after about 5 different curtain configurations, we ended up using them just they way they were intended.  Our bedroom is almost finished!
 

Monday - Today is the 4th of July.  We were supposed to go to the fireworks tonight with Mom and Vanessa's family, but Coco decided to wear me out and upset my tummy, so we bailed out at the last minute.  I couldn't stand the thought of sitting outside in 103 degree weather. Adam was planning on going with us, so he and Juan decided to grille instead.
 

Tuesday - Here is our new bedroom, almost all complete!
 

Wednesday - Today I am officially 26 weeks pregnant! This week I am really starting to feel big. It is much harder to get up and down, especially from bed in the mornings. She is also very active, just in the last couple of days; but now it is different. Instead of feeling her high when she moves, it is way down low...almost to my chahula! And it sort of feels like little spasms. I keep having this reoccuring dream that I look down at my belly and here little face and hands are pushed clear through almost my skin and I can make out every feature and detail; but then I panic that she is suffocating. How wierd! Weight update: 230.2 lbs. She is now about 14" long from head to heel and weighs about a pound and 2/3rds, about the size of an English hothouse cucumber. For some reason that makes me laugh.

Thursday - I made dinner for the first time since we've moved back into our house. It was just mexican chicken casserole, mexican rice and salad; but it was nice to sit down together for dinner at our new table.
 

Friday - This week I was finally able to start scrapbooking again.  I was excited to learn that one of my pages was "featured" on Scrapbook Challenges and one of my pages was "featured" on Let's Scrap. What a way to inspire me to create some more!  I have soooooo been missing my scrappy loft.

Saturday - This evening we went to the ccrd night at the ball park in Grand Prarie.  It was the Air Hogs.  Unfortunately the lost 14-0; but there were fireworks after the game!
 

Sunday - Another needed trip to Destination Maternity today.  I can't believe I have already outgrown half my pregnancy clothes. I had coupons, so it was well worth the trip!
 

Monday - We FINALLY got our intertainment center setup and items on the shelves.  It has taken forever to get moved back in.
 

Tuesday - Travelling a lot this week.  Today was a day trip to Kansas City for an OAC meeting on OPRMC.  Thursday is another day trip to Austin for the Bee Cave FSED OAC. Thankfully there were not a lot of people in the security line!

Wednesday - Today I am officially 25 weeks pregnant! Ok this is crazy but my right side is WAY bigger thank my left. I even have way more stretch marks on that side. Coco needs to even out! LOL. Weight update: 231.9 lbs. This week she is 13-1/2" from head to heels and weighs about a pound and a half. She is about the size of an average rutabaga! She is moving around a lot more now.

Thursday - Vanessa brought Jakob and Ashlyn over to our pool today. Jakob was way more scared of the water this year.  Last year he had absolutely no fear. He was better once Juan arrived. Ashlyn didn't know what to think of the water, but it was fun to play with both of them!   

Friday - Today's photo is my friend, Angie, with her new baby, Kayla!  As the adoption is not finalized, I am refraining from posting the adorable photo here; but, she is ADORABLE!!!

Saturday - Boxes fill our house, but at least they are now all in our living room! Vanessa helped me with the last 4 loads from storage so that we would be truely moved back in.  Now we just have to unpack them all!  

Sunday - Father's Day! We met Marco, Gracie, Alfonso and Maria along with Gracie's entire family at Maximo's for Father's Day brunch.  It was really delicious, but also really expensive at about $50 per plate. It was good to see family.
 

Monday - We finally hung our valence in the dining room today.  I really like how it turned out and was just the right touch to our little nook. 
 

Tuesday - The electrican came to install our new receptacles and switches and we talked them into installing our new bedroom ceiling fan/light as well.  It goes great with our new bedroom look, but the light is not as bright as what we are used to.
 

Wednesday - Today I am officially 24 weeks pregnant and getting HUGE!  This is a major hurdle as if Cocoa is born now, she can survive. Of course, I'm not ready for her to come out yet; but at least we've jumped one more hurdle. I also had my monthly OBGYN visit today. Everything was good, including the heartbeat. I was still concerned that she hasn't been moving much, and Dr. Farrow said I have probably been too busy moving in to notice. She recommended drinking cold water, laying on my left side, and turning off all TV's/radio's/etc. and being still. I think I'll try that tonight. Weight update: 230.1 lbs, 232.1 lbs at the Dr. office. Next month I take the Glucose screening test. This week Coco should have gained about 4 ounces, and be just over 1 pound. She is almost a foot long, about the length of an ear of corn. I also started feeling weird movment in my lower belly. At first I thought it was gas, but now I think it was Coco!

Thursday - I met the girls today for lunch to catch up! We've all been so busy that it's been forever since we have been able to get together.  I miss seeing my girls!
 

Friday - Here are our new decora light switches and receptacles. They modernized our house and look great. The best part, the receptacles are all built in tamperproof, so we won't need those clear safety plugs for Coco!

Let's Scrap 7-6-11 New sketch and Layout

Happy Sunday my bloggy friends!  I should have spent the afternoon unpacking boxes, hanging photos, or at the very least working on Coco's baby room artsy stuff.......but instead, I spent it in my scrapping loft completing another layout for Sagrada Familia.  We really need to stop taking so many photos!  I just can't seem to eliminate enough. 

It helped that Let's Scrap posted aa new sketch this week that is super fun and works perfect for all the photos I wanted to scrap!  Here is the sketch 7-6-11, and you have until Tuesday night to complete your own version and be entered into the weekly prize:

And a couple of detailed shots.  Anyone ever used heidi swapps fuzzy rub-ons?  I've had them forever and I used them on this layout and boy...what a pain.  They were super hard to rub-on and it still looks messed up.  :(  Oh well, don't think I'll be using the rest of those anytime soon.  I also used a clear pocket from Creative Memories for the brochure so that I could pull it out later and look at it.

Let's Scrap 6-29-11 New sketch and Layout!

Let's Scrap has a very simple sketch this week that I really wanted to play along with.  I thought it would be a quick layout to help me get back on track, yet for some reason my layout still took almost 4 hours! It seems that every layout I complete takes me 4 hours.....I really need to figure out a way to speed that up or I will never be ready when little Coco is born!  LOL.

Let's Scrap - Fancypants July Challange Layout

Yeah! I completed a layout, FINALLY!  This one is for the Let's Scrap - Fancypants July Challenge.  The challenge is simple enough, use a Let's Scrap sketch and some Fancypants product.  I found some REALLY old Fancypants (some from 2007/2008) in my stash and thought it was the perfect time to use it!  Almost everything on this page is Fancypants, see materials list below.

SC Blog Hop Layout!

Yes! I completed my FIRST layout in 2 MONTHS!  We moved out of our house to rennovate and then moved back in.....oh did I mention I am also 6-1/2 months pregnant?  NOT recommended.  It has been exhausting and we are still not fully unpacked; but I FINALLY got my scrapbook loft relatvely setup and since Scrapbook Challenges was having their "Seasons of Change Blog Hop" I thought it was the perfect opportunity to dive back in!
