New Layout - Do Something Silly

Happy Sunday,

I finished one more layout this evening, this one of dear Hubby and dear Daughter at the Sculpture Garden. I just love their kissy faces. Sweetest thing EVER!

I played along with Paper Issues October challenge Monochromatic Fanatic. I used all black and gray and used photos of black/gray/metal at the sculpture garden. Monochromatic is really hard for me as I always like a pop of color!

I used a kit from Paper Loft and added rubons from Basic Grey and 7gypies, a journaling block from CTMH, ink from CTMH, ribbon from American Crafts, and Nuvo Dots.

New Layout - Dallas

Happy Sunday,

I'm still scrapping, but very slowly this morning. I played with my new Distress Oxides! I used a star die cut and used that as a template. I used Squeezed Lemonade, Scatterd Straw, Mustard Seed, and Fossilized Amber. I used Nuvo brushes to apply the ink and then used my distressed sprayer and rolled paper towels over it to pick up some color. I then used darker inks to stamp star images and added water/paint brush to make splatters. At the midpage I applied ink directly to the page and sprayed water and let it drip down the page. I'm super excited at how it turned out. 

I played along with Paper Issues October challange Put a Cork in It. I added a cork USA and cork stars from Elle's Studio. I also added PhotoPlay journaling blocks, Nuvo Drops, ink from CTMH, stamp from PhotoPlay, and a title from Paper Wizard.

New Layout - Birds of a Feather

Happy Saturday my scrappy friends,

My daughter and my best friends daughter have become best friends on their own. It is adorable to watch and we love when we are able to get together since we live in different states. These are photos of them from 2017 when they were just 6 years old. ADORABLE!

I played along with Paper Issues October challenge, Birds of a Feather. These photos were perfect for this challenge and I paper pieced the birdies together.

I used a kit from ScrapbookFunAddicts and added tags from CocoDaisy, ink and stamps from CTMH, Nuvo Dots, and chalk from my stash.

New Layout - ASI

Happy Saturday - take two,

I'm thrilled to report that I stayed up late last night and used my DISTRESSED OXIDES! After spending an hour adding labels to my latest aquisitions and updating my color chart, I actually used these fun supply tools!

 

For this layout I used Ripe Persimmon, Mustard Seed, and Mowed Lawn distressed oxides with the "smoosh" technique. Then I used my distressed sprayer to sprinkle water on the ink and rolled paper towels across the top to pick up some of the ink. I used the Alpha-Tiles free cut file from the Paper Issues Store for the letters and cut them from my cricut. I added faux stitching stamps/ink from CTMH around each letter and nuvo dots on the inside in the same color. I matted the small photos in the same colors as the ink and added rub-ons from TLC and cut tags with a Fiskars tag punch and inked with CTMH ink. I also added the 3D balance sticker from Paper House. Ths is only the 2nd time I've used my oxides, so I was pretty excited with the results!

New Layout - Pumpkin Patch

Happy Saturday,

We braved Covid yesterday and went to a pumpkin patch - Blase Family Farm Pumpkin Patch in Rockwall. They had reservation signups to limit the participants. All the weekends were already full when I went to signup, so we used Maddie's day out of school. There were still way too many people there without masks! We tried to avoid the people clumps as much as possible. It was pretty small and we did not join the hay ride, but it was still nice to get out and do something somewhat "normal". 

I finished this layout this afternoon of my daughter and nephew years ago at the Arboretum. Such a wonderful place for kids to explore and learn.

I played along with Paper Issues October Challenge: Danielle Does it Live. This months challenge was to use Orange and Black. What is better for fall? It was perfect for these pumpkin patch photos. Maddie was so little, I don't ever remember her being "little" as she was always so tall for her age, but she looks little looking back. This was at Celina's Big Orange Pumpkin Patch, which used to be our favorite pumpkin spot before it moved. Such fun memories!

I used a kit from Paper Wizard and added stamps/ink from CTMH and a negative cut file from Quickutz.

New Layout - Thankful for You

Happy almost Friday!

I'm excited for our 4 day weekend! I finished this layout this evening of my sweet girl and my nephew at the Arboretum, one of our favorite places.

I played along with Paper Issues October challenge Patchwork Potpourri. I created a 2x2 patchwork grid as the background and added faux stitching and lots of layered ephemera.

I used paper, and ephemera from Simple Stories, stamps and ink from CTMH and misc. brads, twine and button from my stash.

New Layout - Fall Friends

Almost hump day,

I'm ready for the weekend! This layout is of my daughter at her school's Fall Festival. She is fearless and loves climbing the tallest inflatable there was - over and over.

For this layout, I played along with Paper Issues October challenge "Patchwork Potpourri". To create my patchwork background I used hexagons on the left and popped up random images. On the right I used paper piecing on the leaf. 

I used the  paper line from Simple Stories and misc. button, ribbons, and burlap from my stash.

New Layout - Halloween 31

Happy Sunday Yall,

It was a short, busy weekend, but I finally got to scrap tonight at about 6pm. I finished this layout from Trick-or-Treating back in 2017. These are just some of the kids on our block. We let them trick or treat our block the day before Halloween because it was supposed to rain....it didn't rain, of course, but the kids thought it was fabulous to get 2 nights of candy!

I played along with Paper Issues Oct Challenge - Danielle does it LIVE. This month the LIVE challenge was to use orange and black. That was easy with this Halloween layout.

I used a kit from Fancy Pants and added arrows from Eyelet Outlet, popdots, twine and buttons.

New Layout - I Want Candy

Happy Happy day,

I got to do alittle crafting this afternoon and finished this fun Halloween layout. 

For the left side, I played along with Paper Issues October This or That challenge. I used Black (no white, that is actually silver paper), a ghost, 4 Chipboard pieces, Bows, 6x6 block for photo mats, black enamel dots, and 2 photos.

For the right side, I played along with Paper Issues October Cos-tomb Parade. My layout has DD's and my niece and nephews Halloween costumes from 2017. 

I also played along with More thans Words October Challenge Night & Flowers. 

Word Inspiration: NIGHT

Creative Challenge: NO FLOWERS

Helpful tips for the challenge: We want to know what you get up to when the sun goes down! Do you go out partying at NIGHT, gaze at the stars, got o conerts or maybe go camping? Or if you like being tucked up at home with wine and Netflix, then we want to hear about that too! We need to see in your project how our word inspired you. If it isn't obvious in your work, then please explain it in your post. Many flowers close their petals at night, so we want to see NO FLOWERS on your project. Is this easy or difficult for you?

This was an easy one as I am in the Halloween spirit right now and I had these old trick or treat photos that I was wanting to get scrapped! I perfect night out in the dark!

I used a paper kit from Paper Wizard, misc. jounaling spots from my stash, stamps and ink from CTMH, and bows from CTMH.

New Layout - 2020 Homeschool

Happy Saturday all my scrappy friends,

I've spent all week working on a single layout. It's super busy, but encorporates all of DD's weekly assignments for Virutal Homeschooling during the pandemic at the end of last year - March through May! There are even pullouts for each week, like a little mini album.

I played along with Paper Issues 52 Friday Favorites. It's more than a week of documentation, but I really wanted to document the entire 3 months of end of last year's "Homeschooling". 

I used a kit from Paper Loft and added stickers from M&MBI, diecut tabs from Quickutz and Nuvo Stone Drops - Belgium Bluestone.
