I began this blog to document my POTD (picture of the day) for our Project Life album in 2010. In Sept. 2011 I had our first baby and I plan for her to have the most documented life possible. I have continued each year with Project Life, but also have expanded my blog to include layouts and other creations. Life has gotten busy, so I don't post as often as I used to, but am still determined to try. I would love to have you join me on our journey! Thank you for visiting!
Hello my scrappy friends! I was all set for a beautiful 73 degree day, that's what I was promised after all; but it barely topped the 60 degree mark and was cloudy all day. This simple little layout took me most of the day to complete. I just wasn't feeling that scrappy mood, but also couldn't just give up and walk away.
For this layout I used this weeks sketch from Let's Scrap 1-29-14:
I also played on the "Love is in the Air" theme to meet the Scrapping Everyday Miracles Feb. challenge #1. Love was definitely in the air on this layout. I used lots of hearts, pink, and Love U titles. Maddie is definitely my little miracle and I thank the Lord everyday that I am blessed to have her. I used the center column in the Scrappy Friends - Rochelle's Tic Tac Toe challenge. I used banner hearts, bling and wood hearts, and cork butterflies.
Finally, I used the color challenge from Scrappy Friends - Kelly's Color challenge. I used all of the colors although the challenge only requires you to use 3 colors. I also used white and black.
For the left side, I played along with Sketches4All - Rachelle's Feb. challenge - love always. This challenge is Anything Goes as long as you use at least 1-2 hearts. I used a banner of hearts (6) and a wooden heart.
For the right side, I played along with Sketches4All - Cheryl's challenge group for Feburary - to use at least one arrow. I used bling arrows and a large black arrow brad. Materials - paper - MME; journaling blocks - MME; brad - unknown; bling - Queen&Co, TLC, and Prima; stamps - CTMH; ink - CTMH; banner - BG; cork shape - LYB; sticker - MME. Thanks for visiting!
