Scrap Retreat Weekend Layouts - #7-31

Happy Sunday! I am definitely not ready to start a new week. I had a wonderful weekend with my girlies at Scrap N Paradise weekend retreat in Oklahoma. Daddy was sweet enough to watch Maddie for the entire weekend so I could get away. It was much needed. I have been working so much that I hadn't scrapbooked at all this entire year! That is unheard of for me. I did manage to finish 6 layouts the weekend before I left and finished another 25 this weekend. That is a major record for me. I will admit that most of them are kits.

What a wonderful way to spend the weekend. Here are my layouts:

I can't wait to go again! LOL. Have a fabulous week!

You. Layout #5 & 6

Another layout complete! This one is from an Embellish It kit. Photos of Maddie at 16 months and already little Miss Independent.

I'm headed out for a Scrappin weekend with my girlies next weekend!!!!!  YIPPPPEEEEEE, I can hardly wait. I've only been to one since Maddie was born........soooooooooooooooooo excited!

Our Day at the Aquarium - Layout #3 & 4

I hope you had a fun and safe 4th! After the fireworks, parades, BBQ's, and pool/sun fun, I managed to finish a layout. Rather boring - that's what happens when you don't scrap for 6 months; but it is done so I am happy.

This layout is from last year at the Dallas Aquarium. Maddie loved the sharks and penguins. I played along with Let's Scrap Challenge #188, use a Let's Scrap sketch and get inky. I used sketch 2-5-14 and inked the background with navy spray and a Tim Holtz stencil. It made a huge mess and I even got it on my photos - whoops. Here is the sketch:

I also played along with Paper Issues - In the Navy. I used photos from our day at the Aquarium which had lots of navy. Then I added navy card stock and navy brads. I even journaled with a navy pen.

Finally, I played along with the Southern Girls Challenge - You Spin Me Round Baby...Right Round. This challenge is to use circles and things that are round. I used patterned paper with circles, round navy embellishments cut out of embossed cardstock with a round embossing pattern, and lots of round brads.

Materials: paper - Bazzill & WeRMemoryKeepers; ink - Mr. Huey's; stencil - Tim Holtz; die-cut flamingo - Memories of Yesterdays; circle cutter - Creative Memories; brads - unknown.

Thanks for visiting!

Ft Worth Zoo - Layout 1 & 2

Hello blogging friends!

I have been absent for months, I know. I have not scrapped a single page this year - until today.  We have had a frantically busy first half of the year and I have been working waaaaaaaayyyyyyyy  too much. Here is a layout from a zoo trip last year to the Fort Worth Zoo. Maddie loves the zoo and we go a LOT!

I played along with Let's Scrap Sketch for this week 7-2-14. Here is the sketch:

I also played along with Lasting Memories #193 "Go Wild with Animal Layout".  I definitely used animals on my layout - in both the photos and the animal embellishments.

Materials:  paper - Bazzill; stickers - WeRMemoryKeepers; washi tape - CTMH & unknown; letter stickers JoAnn Craft Essentials; and journaling block - Making Memories.

Thanks for visiting! Hopefully, I will be posting again soon!
